Help! Custom domain doesn't work with www.

Hi! I'm new to indiemade and already have a custom domain name (luxe-noir.com) that I want to use on my Pro account instead of having .indiemade.com I did the CNAME DNS change, and linked from my registrar (domain.com) luxe-noir.com --> luxe-noir.indiemade.com and then did a "pointer"/redirect for luxe-noir.com to luxe-noir.indiemade.com

Problem is, when I type in www.luxe-noir.com it doesn't work. It only works without it. I've read of people having this problem too. Then I read an FAQ and thought I needed to "point" it to www.luxe-noir.com (since I have my default base url on indiemade as luxe-noir.com) and that made the www. show up when I type luxe-noir.com in the browser, but doesn't load the page (it sort of "shakes" the page actually, very wierd).

I hope that makes sense.. I must be doing one of the steps wrong.

Also- even without the www. problem - I changed the base url name on Indiemade and it still takes me to luxe-noir.indiemade.com, and not my custom url.

Wish I could remember what I did to get mine to work right. It may have been a conversation with GoDaddy, my domain provider.

Have you asked indiemade support? They are very good and helpful.

I did contact indiemade and they have been great! I just seem to be doing something wrong still. I contacted tech support at Domain.com which I bought my domain from, so hopefully they are able to do it for me.

Tech support at your domain company should be able to help you if you are not able to change the host record settings yourself. You will need to have a CNAME entry where the host name is www and the address is luxe-noir.indiemade.com and two URL Redirect entries, one with a host name of @ and an address of http://www.luxe-noir.com and one with a host name of http and an address of www.luxe-noir.com. This got mine working perfectly. relaine.com or www.relaine.com both take you to the correct site. Hope this helps!
