Set a Goal for August

Hi there,

August is upon us. What will your goal be in this month often associated with vacations? Is your goal this month to push on ahead, starting your preparations for the holidays? Or perhaps your goal is to relax, take a break, and gain some energy with which you can approach the upcoming busy season.

No matter what your goal, setting a specific one and sharing it with others can help you accomplish more. For the last two months we invited sellers to set a goal and share it with the team. Take a look at last month's thread ( https://www.etsy.com/teams/5002/etsy-success/discuss/14828939/page/1) where you'll see many sellers reporting they reached their goals or made some progress they felt good about. For some easy inspiration, take a peek towards the end of the thread.

Take a moment to settle on your goal and then share it here. By writing it down and sharing with others, you'll reinforce your commitment to it.

A goal can be anything from listing a new item to reaching your 100th sale.

i would love to get to my 40th sale!! I'm currently at 25! so quite a stretch, but dream big right?

i'd also like to hit the 100 product point!! just passed 80 this week!

I opened my jewelry shop on ETSY March 2014 and it has been quite the journey so far and I am learning something new every day.
My goals for August are to list 100 items (76 now) and to continue to improve my tags, photos, and descriptions to boost my shop's presence; I am hoping that as I do the above and work at creating more unique inventory my sales will follow...sometimes it is hard not to get a bit discouraged but I keep telling myself that I need to be patient and eventually I may find my way here...
Oh, and I need to get a treasury together (would be my first!)

I have a lot of things I would like to accomplish with my shop, for this month I will settle with improving my photos and SEO. I'd really like to increase sales in August as July was slow. In the longer term I want to start blogging, but at the moment I am struck with "bloggers' block and am searching for inspiration.

Hello All,
I have been with Etsy for four years. My August goals are:
1. Make more stock and bring my store back to 100 aprons.
2. Work on tags and Titles.
3. Make more sales.

I didn't make my goal for July, to reach 200 sales, I only made it to 193, ah but August is a new month and time for a new goal.

My goal for August is to sell our house! oh yeah, and to get at least 10 sales, I'd say 15 - 20 but after July I'm just a wee bit leery.

My goal for August is to get several of my items re-listed. I went several months without sales and was seriously thinking of calling it quits. Then I got 3 sales. I'm not sure what triggers the sales, but I am now in the process of adding back my items.

I would like to make my second sale this month and add new listings. Also, I am considering a different direction or new features to my shop -- recycled materials and more affordable artworks on paper -- one of a kind. We'll see where this goes.

I'm planning on adding one listing per day. Promote them daily.
Work hard on drawing audience on instagram.
When bored with the business-side of things I would get back to my favourite task - making more washi eggs!

Ok here's my august goals.....

Reach 500 sales .....im currently at 428 so this a tough one.
have atleast 250 items in my shop - im at 237 now.
work on tags on all my products.

I met all my July targets but they werent as challenging so i'm trying to push myself that little bit harder this month.

I opened my shop on July 11th and I had 2 sales already. I'd like to double the sales this month and hopefully triple it. I am working on a few bag patterns/designs and I'd like to start making them to order (most of them at least - that I know will save me time and money)I am choosing materials that can be reordered.

Hi I I have been on Etsy since 2008
and I am very happy than I can be more at full time this year for Halloween xx
So my goal for August is to
list all my new costumes and clothing collection and
double my sale of July
for me it is one of the better time of the year for selling and i am already grateful for all the creations i have to make and i will make for my customers

i've been on Etsy since mid June and I'm so happy that I met all of my goals from July! I've got 13 sales last month, including a custom order:D

My goals for August:

reach 30 sales(i'm at 19 now);
new items for fall/winter--list 10 new items;
work on social media marketing...;
...and stock up before the fall semester begins!

I'm using this quiet time to design and make new jewellery and my goal is to list a new item in my shop every day. So far I'm managing to list 2 items which is a great achievement.

August Goals:
1). redecorate my studio (fresh painted walls=inspiration!)
2). Create new Fall and Christmas Holiday items
3). List above items! hehe
4). Have at least one overseas sale! That would be awesome! (silly shipping
costs make this difficult!)
5). Have a return customer! Oh Yeah...that would make me sooooo happy!!!
