Marketing your business on social media can be intimidating. Maybe you’re not sure how often to post or what kind of content is appropriate to share. But a strong presence on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram is a great way to connect with your target market as well as build relationships with trendsetters and potential collaborators. Join us on September 14 at 11:30 a.m. US ET in the Online Labs ( http://etsy.me/labs914), where we’ll discuss how to create a compelling social media presence. We’ll talk about choosing the right platforms, engaging your audience, and staying true to your values.
PARTICIPATE:
What’s your top question about using social media to grow your business? Share your question in the thread below and a link to one of your social media accounts. In addition to highlighting and answering your questions throughout the live event, we’ll call out shops from this thread that are doing an amazing job with social media. Ask for advice via Twitter using the hashtag #EtsySuccessChat now or during the live stream. We’ll be answering your questions when the session airs.
REMEMBER:
There are no sign-ups or automatic reminders for this session, so be sure to mark your calendar. If you are unable to attend, we will be posting a link to the archived version of the video in this thread after it has aired. Please note that if you would like to participate in the live chat, it will be available only during the stream.
DISCLAIMER:
This is a non-promotional team. This is not an open invitation to promote your shop or social media channel in this thread. If you are unsure of what you can post in the Etsy Success team, please review our guidelines: http://etsy.me/1Osc7iC

Re: ✦ Live Video — September 14 @ 11:30 a.m. ET: How to Ace Social Media
Our focus has been Facebook and Pinterest for posting and promoting. From reading comments and listening in today it sounds like Instragram and Twitter is the place to be. Pinterest has been good for us and we will continue on however now I am looking into at least one more social media sight. Early in the discussion you mentioned starting small and focusing on one platform so I am really anxious to see the "what's your social media type" quiz. I am completely Twitter illiterate for now so hopefully I can find the link elsewhere.

This was a great webinar. Fantastic ideas on posting meaningful content, not just posting pics of your product and bring more of your personality to your posts.
Definitely need to revisit my FB, Twitter, Pinterest & Instagram and make some updates.
Thanks!!!

What is the surprise? The quiz?
Also, what are the programs for social media scheduling that were hinted at? I'd love to have a list. Thanks.

Re: ✦ Live Video — September 14 @ 11:30 a.m. ET: How to Ace Social Media
I'm finally watching this video (I know, I'm way late!) and had a question regarding instagram. I've had a few folks tag me in instagram along with my product. So, those photos show up in my profile, but not my feed. Is it okay to regram (or share) those posts?
I'm a little torn on this as I think it's okay since they tagged me in their photo. But, I'm not sure if it's "kosher" to do so.
