Marketing your business on social media can be intimidating. Maybe you’re not sure how often to post or what kind of content is appropriate to share. But a strong presence on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram is a great way to connect with your target market as well as build relationships with trendsetters and potential collaborators. Join us on September 14 at 11:30 a.m. US ET in the Online Labs ( http://etsy.me/labs914), where we’ll discuss how to create a compelling social media presence. We’ll talk about choosing the right platforms, engaging your audience, and staying true to your values.

I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing regarding social media but am looking forward to your suggestions. My top question is: how do I post to my FB business page [via hootsuite, instagram, etc.] as opposed to my personal page? [One more: instagram is my have now but how do I know which hashtags drive traffic and which only encourage bots?]

How does a person who is too shy of promoting use social media to their advantage. I fear that if I post Etsy work on IG or FB everyday it might look pushy !

I do post on my blog though to let my readers know when I have something new in my shop.

Hello! I am looking forward to this group. I currently use both facebook and instagram and it seems like when one is doing well the other is not. I am struggling with attaining/developing a network on both accounts. And like many people posted I would like to learn how to be more engaging in my posts, and create real enthusiasm and for people to look forward to my posts. I have spent countless hours capturing great photos for my jewelry, but am seeming to lack the sauce to make it enticing. I am attaching both my instagram as well as facebook links.

My biggest question is whether to post the same picture on both Facebook and Instagram? Or to keep them a little different and thus more interesting and fresh? I started with Facebook and recently added Instagram. I am currently sharing my Instagram pics on my Facebook page and feel that I've seen a decline in the number of views on Facebook. Really looking forward to hearing your tips!!!

I get really stuck with knowing what content I should be posting other than biz updates and I really struggle getting a response, I get likes but rarely comments even when I ask questions.

I'm quite new to Instagram & Google+ (and haven't attempted Twitter yet) so any advice on making the best of them will be great x

I use facebook and pinterest to promote my etsy shop, but as my sales this year have become more frequent, I spend most of my time working, then posting or planning out promotion campaigns. I would love to learn how to create better posts and strategies to plan ahead. - Do sellers really benefit from doing giveaways via Instagram or other platforms? How do you pick a winner?

- What are some active groups to join to connect with other Etsy sellers? I'm just starting out and I'm hoping to meet other artists!

- It seems that a lot of successful Etsy sellers are popular Bloggers, what sort of blog posts/tags would I use to attract a larger audience?
