Re: September Chat, Metalsmithing Sense and Sensibility

Morning.
I woke up to a "could you give me the name of the company you get your work from" convo?! I should have had a cup of coffee before I answered it...

The app kinda blows CG. They ruined it.

Re: September Chat, Metalsmithing Sense and Sensibility

It's variable, Karen. My purse shop has died. The soap shop is doing better, but it always picks up this time of year. I need to check my stats page better to tell about home page and App numbers. It does seem to me my App stats are down right now.

Morning... Jen in my recent mood they are lucky they didn't ask me that question. Polite I would not have been.

Dreamed I woke up to a sale... But alas no.

Going out for a walk before rain comes...

I always try to have a measured response. I try to assume the best. People are just misinformed, I try to educate them, yadda, yadda, yadda. If you've seen my responses to various posts in Denmark, you've seen it.

Well, I'm pretty sure this would have put me over the edge.

Good morning.

Wow, that's ballsy, Jen. Unbelievable! Pffft.

Well, I finished making the basil chevre for my sister and defrosting the lox.
I guess i need to hit the barn now. I'll try to pop back in later.

Glad you're feeling better, Sue. Oh yah; wanted to mention that I met Alyssa Dee Krauss at our art walk in town last Saturday. I guess she has her work at Sienna. I wondered if you've ever met her or seen her work. She was wearing some fabulous riveted earrings that she had made. They had such tiny rivets!

o.k. out into the wet I go.

Holy shit, Jen. I might have gone freakers at that. Just ask the last collection agent calling for the woman who had my phone number 15 years ago.

Morning all.

Re: September Chat, Metalsmithing Sense and Sensibility

Holy crap Jen- that just may have left me speechless!

CG- I'm in MD, maybe my report spam or response last year saved me from the inquiry. I just got one from a blogger the other day- I just hit report spam any more I don't even respond.

Views- what are views? I was down in triple digits yesterday according to stats. Over night 3 favorites, usually it's double digits. Sold 1 item, small but a sale, but if my views are down that much it isn't looking promising for many sales

Re: September Chat, Metalsmithing Sense and Sensibility

Morning. Jen, I may have indulged on a bit of satire......

...there's a well at the bottom of our garden, and if I quietly creep down on moonless nights and lower a bucket I hear light-hearted giggling and, lo and behold, when I raise the bucket up it's filled with glorious rings.

Re: September Chat, Metalsmithing Sense and Sensibility

low views, no sales... and I added two new items yesterday to try to jiggle something loose... nope. not a fun month over here.

CG - your answer is perfect. I love that.

onward to my work day. I skipped my walk, looked at the time and realized I'll shorten my morning too much. I want to skip out early.

Re: September Chat, Metalsmithing Sense and Sensibility

About the app view percentage, I just meant that if you've recently been getting lower views the new version of the app could be the cause.

I never got that many via the app, maybe 15% max, but if you were getting much more the drop would be noticeable.

Re: September Chat, Metalsmithing Sense and Sensibility

Good morning.

Sue, I hope you are feeling better. That is a nasty virus.

CG, I love it!!!

I haven't seen the Rio Pro option. I must not buy enough.

Yesterday was our 30th anniversary. We went out Saturday night to celebrate early. DH decided not to change jobs. There were just not enough great reasons to make the change, I think he made the right decision. We still may look at moving to a SC community within commuting distance to Charlotte. The taxes are much lower there. We are so close to the stateline and there are some nice communities to choose from. We need to get a little smaller newer house. This one is 30 years old.

Re: September Chat, Metalsmithing Sense and Sensibility

Rio pro account? I wonder how much you have to spend? I get a 1099 from them every year and have probably spent more this year than any other. Or maybe they are just offering to a few to "test" it out- that would be almost funny

Re: September Chat, Metalsmithing Sense and Sensibility

Just had a moment of 'huh?'

Went to the dashboard, an item sold and review had arrived, same buyer, same item.

Only a repeat buyer, not a review system dysfunction...

I've had that happen in the soap shop. It's cool, but you do a double take at first.

Flinging sales dust around ... It's rare, so grab it while you can. Sold a custom bracelet. Yea!

Re: September Chat, Metalsmithing Sense and Sensibility

I keep being reminded of how much I like not doing wholesale any longer. Most of the year had a backlog of orders, and almost cringed a little when I had a sale here on top of that. Now, bring it on.

And no longer having hour long stints at the buffer is a treat.
