probably not. no one who gets this email will blame you ann. it's so clearly just a phishing scam. you've notified your contacts. as long as they have no access to your money and you've changed your passwords, i'd say you're done. anyone who gets the email will know you had nothing to do with it.

Ann, Seems to me that they can just shut down the email when an obvious hack is taking place, even if they cannot verify you are the owner... They must be familiar with these things.

Jaime, Wow... people can drop to their lowest for such stupid reasons. CG is right, it is the "lower 50" creating this havoc. Glad you and Dan are safe.

The insurance adjuster is coming by today to check out my car. I'm thinking that if the shop has to keep my car I will try out something fun to drive for a day or two.

I can't email anyone in my contacts, all I can do is tell everyone who calls that I'm fine. I think the email is blocked now but they have an email address under a misspelling of my name and I wonder if they have a paypal account under that email. Luckily, they didn't get anything else. I need to check this morning. Hard to believe that these people don't have anything better to do.

Ann, I gave up my hotmail email years ago, since they couldn't filter out all manner of offensiveness. I don't have parts that need to be enlarged short of my brain. Hope you can get this behind you soon.

Jaime: Not to sound like the old fogey that I am, but WTF with the riots? Over a game? How does that give people the notion to burn and loot??? I don't get the connection. Where is the source of the rage coming from? So glad Dan made it home unscathed.

After sleeping on it, I think 2% of the crowd were the 'acting up ' goons, the type that are always around. But the other 98%?

In my dotage it took me a minute to realize all the gawkers had one arm in the air so they could take pictures on their cell phones. These goofs are the puzzle, and I wonder if their lives are so virtually lived that it's as close as they'll ever be to real life action. Hey ma, look at me.

Years ago I was mugged and my pocketbook was stolen... I had just cashed a $70. check to buy groceries....... I envisioned the mugger buying a nice steak dinner and choking on it! Of course, more likely he shot up some vile drug.

At the time my husband (to be) was out of town and I was concerned that my checkbook with my address was stolen too... Of course the guy lost his hat and all his keys trying to yank the purse off my shoulder! Hopefully that caused him some inconvenience... JERK!

i sometimes carry a knife on me if i'm going somewhere shady. i've been in many back alleys in detroit-very scary places- i try to stay on the safer paths nowadays. i think my bad ass days are over. sorry peg that happened to you. that's exactly why i used to carry a knife- not to really use it but to threaten an attacker away. thankfully i never needed to and the one time i needed it, i didn't have it on me.
last time i had to carry was in pittsburgh last summer. i go to alot of underground/alternative/punk shows to see bands that are in REALLY bad neighborhoods. so far, never been mugged or had my car broken into- knock on wood.

My daughter carries a knife... Of course, she keeps vampire hours and does not get it when I tell her that not much good happens after 2am...

If I had not married a southern rocker when I was 20 I would have been much more outgoing! He quit traveling the world and got his masters in math! Got a job at a bank and we lived a very quiet life. For a while...
I was teetering on the edge of living a crazy wild life or normal boring one... He came from a family of Dr's, and lawyers. In the end, normal won! My mother was so happy!

Hi everyone, It's been forever since i posted. I've been glued to my computer working on a huge application for a special teaching certification. 12 copies of the 63 page application went out in the mail yesterday. Now I can get back to my life and my studio. I did have a little beach trip last week with friends. It was so lovely there and lots cooler than home.

Peggy, I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Hope you are doing ok.

Glad to hear Dan got home ok from the craziness last night. I don't get why people do that over a silly game.

Jaime...glad you and your loved ones are safe. What strange craziness. Reminds me of some of similiar riots that happened after KU/Kstate football games. Not sure what possesses someone to do such things.

<=crabby here as well. Not much sleep this week. I have a massage scheduled for tonight, hopefully that will help. Been keyed up about a lot of things lately.

Melted some silver last night, and that was about it on getting things done. I need to seriously get out of this rut. I have a show in 5 weeks, and my stock is pretty low. Plus, I need to get new items listed here. It's been too long.
