It’s truly a thrill for me to have been invited to participate in this group. When I originally tried to post a self-introduction a couple of days ago, I received an “Authentication Failed” message. With a little luck, that won’t happen again today.
In fact, the last few weeks on Etsy — since I joined the platform — have been a kind of emotional roller coaster. I began with tremendous enthusiasm, about a month ago. After I had set up my store and uploaded dozens of designs, I was suddenly shut down, for no apparent reason. About two weeks after I appealed, Etsy lifted the suspension and did apologize. From various YouTube videos, I’m aware that this has happened to many others but I’m still shaken up, concerned that something equally arbitrary might happen again in the future.
My focus is on animal, wildlife and outdoor themes, offered through POD products. I’m starting with t-shirts and a few candles. So far, not much to show for in terms of sales but I’m still enjoying the process of making my designs and uploading them, to be seen and appreciated by others, if and whenever that time comes.
I’ve looked through the shops of other ART Team members who have introduced themselves, tremendously impressed by the level of creativity and artistry that they reflect. I’m also inspired by the success that some others have been achieving. I looked at Kateryna’s shop (UkrFolkTradition), for example, noticing that she has racked up 116 sales and attracted 245 Admirers. Wow: Keep up the great work, Kateryna, way to go!
I’m looking forward to learning and helping others in whatever ways I can, as a member of this wonderful ART Team. A heartfelt thanks to Mike for giving me the privilege of participating.
