Maybe this is in a thread already somewhere but who knows because the forum search is abyssmal... I noticed just the last couple days that when I post an item on pinterest I can no longer edit the URL to add my shop name as Etsy said we could do to avoid having other listings appear on the page when someone clicks on it. Previously, I could edit the pin, and the URL would show under the description with the option to edit, but now that space is just blank. Has anyone else noticed this or found a workaround?

Etsy actually had the information about how to change the URL in "Help" but it's no longer there. I guess that also means the ability to change it and avoid the "you may also like" is gone?

@FeltInMyHeart Hi Marisa! Don't know if this helps you, but jumping in because I noticed the same and tried something else that would allow me to change the url if I ever want to.
I used one of my listing images from my computer and made a new image specifically for Pinterest at 900 tall x 600 wide pixels [I read Pinterest likes that ratio for best viewing on phones or something]. Then I created a new pin using that image, and added a title plus the listing url, and pinned it. Seems to have worked, as it pulled the description from Etsy and I still have access to changing the url. One thing it didn't automatically pull is the listing price, which is fine with me and I'm sure you could add it in the title if you wanted. When I clicked the pin, it still showed Similar Items at the top of my listing page, but they were all mine at least.
More work, obviously, but maybe an option for you?

Re: Unable to edit Pinterest URL when posting an item
Well, darn. I guess I'll have to think whether or not it's still worth posting then.

Re: Unable to edit Pinterest URL when posting an item
Thanks, @KathartesJewelry, I guess that will be the best way to do it now if the ads are still popping up with regular pinning.

Re: Unable to edit Pinterest URL when posting an item
@FeltInMyHeart Since there seems to be no way to avoid the Similar Items and YMAL from showing on our listings, maybe pinning using the url to a section or search in our shops is an idea? I haven't tested that though... might be more of the same once someone actually clicked on a listing from there anyway.
Etsy is tiring.
