Just getting over my sugar addiction and its been pretty easy but I NEED to get back to the gym. I am an all of nothing kind of girl and once I start, I live there but the starting is the hardest part. I am a professional procrastinator (I work really well under pressure) so I have to give myself deadlines or I just wallow away until the last minute. Off to the lab now. I have an order to get out LOL!
I'm wondering if you guys can teach me which is the right way to tag one's items...is it better to use single words that describe the item or , like I thought it might be, is it better to put together two or three words like in "whimsical earrings" ? I have no idea how the searching engines work...and maybe inside ETSY it is even different than generally on th net... Thanks!!!!!!!!! and have a great day!
Everyone in the forum SAYS tags should be phrases, but when I look at my shop stats, most people are using one word at a time when they find me: chocolate easter cookies truffles
etc.
Also, I did it! 50 sales in two months!!! Would loooove any shop critique or suggestions you guys want to throw at me!
Yay Gena!! Congrats!! Your shop looks great! I think you should add more minis to your shop. Mini cupcakes, mini cookies, mini brownies. Especially for people like me who like sweets, but don't want to eat too much so I snack on a mini.
In all honesty, most of my views and purchases come from direct links from my facebook and twitter accounts and then people browse. Search wise my techno weenie hubby coached me for Google analytics but thats just not where most of my hits come from. I use a lot of two word tags but like everyone else its mostly the 1 word tags that get searched for.
Have you guys done BNRs before? They're really fun and sometimes addicting, but it helps get some exposure and quick sales! Here's the one I'm joining tonight:
Jacque, I know this is a stupid question but what is with all the lingo about posting shops in all caps and such? I did a BNR once that I was included in by the curator without purchasing which was nice but I havent figured it all out since
The curator asks to post the shop that you want to buy from in caps so she can catch it amongst all the other chatter. Yesterday's was pretty busy, today is kinda slow.
And OUCH! I suffer from migraines too. I had my first attack yesterday in a long time. Still feeling some of it. I have the 'classic' migraine where I have an aura and I get blind spots. Fussy things that grow bigger and bigger into a weird cresent shape....
Going out to a fish and grill restaurant tonight with the man! woohoo!
That's too bad Katie. I've had ocular migraines where the sight in on eye goes wonky for a time. The first time I had one I thought I was having a stroke!
I get them too but as long as I stay away from red wine and sugar I am ok. Hope everyone feels better and stays that way. TGIF is right! I am having a hard time concentrating on work. Didnt help that today started with a parent teacher conference for my kiddo to start off her spring break. She finally earned straight A's and is over the moon!
Red wine and sugar. LOL I hope you don't have them at the same time.
Migraines suck!
I am getting addicted to a book and I don't want to put it down.. I should be designing a range of new button and pearl charm bracelets... but my book is so good!!
Raymond E Feist & Janny Wurts, Servant of the empire. I read all the books in the series before this one, and they are all really addictive...
I was editing my profile and I had a sentence saying, 'I will bend over backwards to meet your requests and more' referring to custom orders. I saved it, and where your profile stops to click read more. The last sentence was...
