Creating prints-Help?

I am not new to painting, but I've never reproduced any of my work before. There are a lot of discussion threads here and I figured I may be better off posting anew.
I was wondering where the easiest/best place would be to get photo sized prints made of my art on durable cardstock. I haven't sold anything on etsy, but some friends I have suggested making and selling some of the art that I have done as prints. I have no idea where to begin, and any help would be appreciated. I dont have home printing capabilities, and I tried looking online at kinkos but kept finding the print options were all oversized. Im looking for smaller sized prints to bunzle and sell in groups. Something around 4x6ish? I dont know if Im doing it wrong or just have been looking in the wrong place. Total novice here, and like I said. I would be grateful for any help you can give me.

Moo says some artists use their postcards to make small prints. I have Moo mini cards and can tell you the print quality is wonderful. See http://us.moo.com/products/postcards.html .

I have used 123print.com to get blank notecards made of my art work and have been pleased with those. Horizontal format seems to be the only option though whenyou upload your own art work but if that fits most of your work it's not a bad place to start. I found the site easy to use.

Your best bet for fine quality giclees of your work is to try to find someone local who you can work with closely.
That way you can be sure the prints match the originals in color, value etc.
Perhaps you can find a local photographer or artist who can work with you.

I tend to agree with JudyStalus. Just like the original poster here, I have lots of experience painting, but not creating prints of my original work. BUT.....I have created three years of promotional brochures, posters, postcards, etc. for a university here in Texas and know that it's best to try and find someone local to work with for any printing. There's a lot to be said for working with an actual human being who will get to know you and your quality expectations, vs. a nameless, faceless, distant website. And there are more print shops around than you'd think. I'm in teeny weeny La Grange, TX and found a great print shop on the courthouse square who is willing to print samples for me on different types of paper, etc. FREE samples! Good luck!!!! I'm thinking of doing the same thing after I build up my original artwork inventory. Busy, busy!
