updating renewed items not working - reverting back to old listing losing work + new orders upaid

Hello,  Spent 30 min to update a renewed item twice. Every time I publish it, it goes back to the old listing. I have now discovered that other sold items I renewed seem to have done the same too ..... so they were showing as the wrong items. 

Could ETSY please fix this - a complete waste of time doing SEO and measurements etc only to lose all that work.

ETSY pls let us know when this is solved so we can start to list again. Now I have deactivated listings and waiting for ETSY to update this glitch.  I was able to list a mew listing from the app without an issue. It seems this is only for renewed listings.

I am also having items sell but then saying unpaid and customer wondering why....   Another order was canceled by ETSY without any notifications to me. I only saw it on the dashboard. anyone  seeing this? is this a payment glitch too?

I have not had any issue using copy for either a current or sold listing.  I even was able to take care of a deactivated one using the new format.

What device are you using?  Is it the app or browser?  Which browser?  Any extensions that may be interfering?

I am on Edge browser up to date.  Also my operating system is up to date as well. 

As to the other issue, if the sale is pending, Etsy says not to send the item until the purchase is paid for.  Etsy will not contact you about cancelation of sale.  That is between Etsy and the buyer only.  

The buyer is notified when a payment is not accepted.  They are invited to use a different credit card.  If this is by any chance Klaarna, many buyer forget it is a two step process.  They need to complete their sale on Etsy.

Hello - I use Apple laptop desktop and iPhone - tried all three and still having an issue listing - every time I edit it and  press reactivate it goes to the old listing . I don’t really know what to do. But it is definitely a glitch from Etsy.  I am hoping they will see this message and fix it. 

the payment eventually went through the next day. Etsy told the customer they wanted to check her bank when she contacted them - v odd.

Not just you friend, I contacted Etsy about this exact problem,  renewing sold items with changing photos and descriptions it does not allow that to be done. Etsy's response? Use the old form, seriously, that was what they told me to do! yeah that works fine what about June 25? It was over a week ago and they told me they would get back to me. Not holding my breath.

Somebody on another thread suggested a workaround of reactivating the listing first, then doing the edits and saving. In other words, editing the “live” listing. Certainly not ideal, but might be worth a shot.

OP, I have always had to renew an inactive listing on my Etsy Seller app before making any changes such as new photos, price, title, or tags. The system seems to need to collect the listing fee before allowing any changes to the listing. It has been this way for me since the new listing form was offered.

Thx all - I will try live edit to see if this solves it, but not ideal. As vintage seller it is hard to maintain the sold advantage of ooak items - selling similar item via renewing sold listing  is one  way - so I hope Etsy fixes this and ideally makes it fair for vintage sellers to be seen by the algorithm….
