I am looking for an active team. Every team I look at hasn't had any activity for years. I have sorted it for active teams, still get no teams with recent activity
I appreciate any help
I wish I could help you, but Etsy has pretty much killed teams.
All the teams I used to post on are dead.
Teams may be on their way out. The really do nothing but promote each other, which doesn't really make sales. In my opinion a waste of time. You would be better off promoting on free social media.
wow... that'a a lot of favathon threads.
No promoting in the forums and I think that means teams too,
@lchinault I'm not sure what you are looking for in a team but if I could recommend something... the way things seem to be going at the moment with locality and from my own experiences lately, finding like minded people in your own & neighboring communities seems to be working. The summer craft & art fairs are in full swing, traveling & researching spaces to find a fit for you & your items, with respect for minimal competition & unique handmade. There may still be fees but there won't be shipping, and the crowd sharing is a bonus.
good luck.
@tulipmarble please stop spamming the forums!
I don't understand
Promotions aren't allowed.
Do not post shop links with advertising here.
If you aren't asking or answering a question, don't post.
Note also that you're just wasting your time with "like and favourite" threads as they tank your conversion rate.
"1. Using the Etsy Community
6 - Don't spam. This includes unsolicited or duplicate posts or links to your shop, fundraisers, surveys, social media, or other promotional content."
looks like you may have had other spam posts deleted... you may lose your forum privileges.
either add to the conversation with helpful advice or move along.
ok I am sorry
Teams used to be a good resource but honestly today, all they really do is making many sellers upset. A lot of times the game playing overspills which can ruin conversion rates for shops. A few years back there was a huge uproar over teams and the game playing. One thing it is to be limited only to team members but recently it has been spilling over again. Etsy also added protocol to searches so that the gameplaying is null and void in searches. All searches need to be organic to be counted.
There are teams that can be of help. Just go through the lists to find one. You will find though that many of those teams are closed to new members.
Frankly I just wish Etsy would remove the teams and be done with it but that is my personal viewpoint and I am sure not shared by everyone.
@lchinault What kind of team are you looking for?
Promotion teams? They ruin your conversion score.
Local teams? It's fun to meet local Etsy sellers and maybe get leads on local selling events!
Teams specific to what you sell? Could be useful as long as they're not mostly promotion teams.
Etsy hasn't shown any interest in teams in many years now. I had (and technically still have) a local team but nobody participates in it anymore. It started as a Yahoo Group but, when YG announced their shutdown, I moved the team to the Etsy Forums, and the oldtimers weren't happy with that. : - (
@tulipmarble What don't you understand? Something about Etsy teams?
