Ive been getting messages saying they are from Etsy support, and saying i have to verify my account. When i reply with this is a scam or other, it doesnt accept the reply.

The scams are fairly easy to spot, but because it wont accept the replys, it counts towards my Etsy star seller for the month!!

So it stops me from getting start seller .

Is anybody else getting scam messages?

I agree it can be confusing. You need to click on the message in your Inbox, then click on Mark as Spam from the top menu. Do not reply to the message at all.

Rather than replying, just put the message in your Spam folder, then it is not counted in the Star Seller metrics. (You might have to do this on a browser rather than the App)

(As an aside, if you cannot reply to one of these scam messages, it means that Etsy have already caught the scammer and deleted their account -- but unfortunately it doesn't stop many more popping up in their place!)

Oh thanks for this threading the answer above ! A while ago I had an obvious scam message and tried to put it into spam but it disappeared and I was worried it would affect the star seller, but your answer clears it up as etsy must have got to it first!
