I issued a refund to a customer and it appears that it got stuck in the middle of processing the refund. So far, the sales amount was deducted from me and the processing fee of $.07 but not the transaction fee. Will I get that $.16 transaction fee back and did my customer get their refund? I tried having etsy call me - no response after hours of waiting. Then tried the chat, nothing. Any ideas of how to contact Etsy?
Go to the order to see if the refund went through. You will also get an Etsy email. If you only refund and don’t cancel, you will get a partial fee refund
If the amount is deducted from your account that usually means it has gone through. The payment processing fee is credited at that time also. Our Etsy transaction fee is credited back to our account later. I have had it take a few hours sometimes and then others it is fairly quick. I have never had it not be credited even though sometimes it takes a good while.
There has been a glitch lately when issuing refunds. It lags and looks like it didn't go through.
