"made by" missing

Some of my listings are missing the "Made by" note, some others are showing it (all have the same options selected so they should I show "made by")

Any idea how to fix it?

You can't fix it, seems this is yet another "test" that Etsy is doing that makes ZERO sense.
Quite a few threads over the last few weeks about this insanity!

On some items I don't see anything, not made by, designed by, handpicked or sourced.

Other items that I know for a fact are "Made by" the seller show either designed by (which is supposed to be for items made with a production partner that a seller designed).
I also see "handpicked" on some handmade supplies and some PDF patterns that the seller also made. Those should state "made by" but they don't.

There have been a few other threads on this. 

I've been relisting expired and sold out items lately, and it takes a week or so for them to display the Creativity Standard category - not sure why.  A listing I posted Sept. 9 has it, but ones on the 10th & 11th do not. (The Sept. 9 item originally did not have it either)

If the listings are before the recent change then the listings show incorrect information.  The change made errors which some are just now catching when they go into edit or notice it for some reason.

There was a problem about 8 weeks ago where sellers on certain browsers were seeing designed by rather than made by.  When some sellers views my handmade items they say designed by but when I looked I saw made by.    I thought Etsy fixed that problem.

If you are having the prints produced by a third party production partner then you need to add that info to the listings. Then I think they will say 'Designed by'. If you are printing them yourself (in-house) then 'Made by' is correct.

For the ones which are missing the creativity standards - maybe you didn't add all the details for those listings. It might be worth checking those ones again. I remember a while back some sellers were having trouble seeing all the questions and the page wasn't scrolling down.

For me it shows up as "made by".  But yes I've seen lots lately with nothing at all in that spot.

Old listings made before the creativity standards need to be altered to fit the new when editing or copying.  I gave up on old listings and just create new.  Simple and easier than trying to change the old ones.

I hate the way all my handmade creations say Designed By, this is Not my POD shop! Ugh, I so wish Etsy would clean this the heck up, now.

I have gotten 2 reviews refering to my "used/good condition" stamps. My stamps are handmade and this "handpicked" BS is too much.

Quick update, now all my listings either show "made by" or nothing at all so its a step up from the completely wrong "designed by" or "handpicked by"

I checked 5 of your items at random. One said "made by" and the other 4 said nothing at all (like you saw.)

Some of my handmade supplies are still showing "handpicked," while others are just supplies.

I don't think everyone's seeing the same thing at the same time. Or they're fixing them very slowly?

I have the same issue. I have 100% handmade items in the Craft Supplies & Tools category and they are now showing "handpicked by" instead of handmade. On some of the newer listings they are only showing "Supplies for making crafts" and not showing handmade or handpicked. I really don't like my handmade items being listed as handpicked. I checked the core details of the listing and I have correctly filled it out as handmade.

Do all shops see the same thing, or does it depend on which browser you are using?

Do you have to re-do all older listings?

Do shoppers pay attention to the designations... hand picked... handmade... designed...?

I decided to email Etsy regarding this erroneous labelling in my shop. While Designed By is 50% accurate (I do design then handmake), on Etsy, it does not mean Handmade, it is used to label items/listings where a seller is working with a production partner. Listings like mine should be labelled Made By and it really bothers me that they currently are not being labelled correctly.
I'll see what the reply will be.

I contacted support over this issue. It wasn't particularly helpful but hopefully Etsy will work on fixing it. I got the following response:

"Regarding your concern I would like to inform you that Etsy’s item detail labels, such as "Handpicked by," are assigned automatically based on your listing information and other shop signals. Sellers and support cannot manually change these labels. 
 
I want you to know that even if you indicate your item is handmade, the system may assign a different label, especially in the Craft Supplies category. 
 
Changing your category does not guarantee a different label. To clarify for buyers, you can state in your listing description that your items are handmade. 
 
I am assuring you that Etsy is working to improve label accuracy, but currently, there is no way to manually override the label shown."

Why would they purposefully push something through when they know it's incorrect? Especially when they ask us to fill in all that information, so there's no need for the system to be interpreting anything from our shop signals.

(Rhetorical question.) It just makes no sense at all when the information is already there.

I have been going back and forth with Etsy for a couple of weeks now about this. We're a casting company making rings, pendant, bails, that kind of thing, but we do actually make all the items in our store ourselves. After getting the same cut/paste dreck that Threadspiration received, I asked for the case to be escalated and I was told that someone would be emailing me "soon". That was about two weeks ago. Yesterday I finally received an email that was clearly assembled by a bot as it had a ton of cut/paste paragraphs from the TOS that had NOTHING to do with the issue.

I think, like Star Seller issues, they are not going to change anything and they are just leaving it to the bots to decide how to categorize that label. I have given up trying to fight them on it. How can you when you're not even communicating with an actual person who can parse what it is you're saying and every time you ask for the issue to be escalated, it just gets "escalated" to a different bot?

A supply seller contacted me to say that they were able to change their labels from "designed by" to "sourced by" through changing their processing profile from "made to order" to "ready to ship". That particular example doesn't seem helpful for most people posting here, but it indicates there may be ways for us to change some of the labels.

Yesterday I listed some new fabric listings.  They are showing as Supplies for Making Crafts.

My older fabric listings show as: Handpicked by HazelsSewingSupplies

and

Supplies for Making Crafts

The most consistent thing about Etsy these days is that they are consistently inconsistent.

When I checked my handmade shop yesterday, it was all correct.  Remember, I said yesterday...lol
