"Variations" listing

I have a listing for manuals and I used the variations option. Every time someone purchases one of the manuals the listing closes and goes to "sold out" listings. How can the listing stay active until all manuals are sold? Thanks for any help.  : )

Do you have 1 or more than 1 of each manual variation?

If so, you have to enter the quantity of each manual.

If you just use variations for each title without assigning a quantity for each manual title, the quantity is one and that covers all the variations so when 1 sells, it shows "sold out".

ETA: it seems you just have 1 for the quantity for all the manuals listed which is why it shows sold out when someone buys either of them.
If I try adding MORE than 1 manual to my cart I get this error message:
"This item is no longer available in the quantity you selected (1)".

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Yes I think that is the problem. Since I only have one of each manual I just had the quantity as one. I will change it to the number of all manuals.  : )

You need to put in different quantities for each variation, that way when a specific one sells that one shows sold out and the others will still show an inventory. You do this in the listing under:

variation -> manage variations -> quantities vary for each (Manuals)

 Then you fill in how many of each you have. That way you don’t have to update the picture with “sold” on each item.
