I have reached out to your support team multiple times regarding this issue. In my last call, I was informed that the notice I received was a glitch on Etsy's part and would be removed. Your team also confirmed that there are no problems on my end. I expect the "Update required shipping settings" notice to be removed immediately.

I was on the phone for 3 hours trying to get someone to answer this, why I cant add a package size and lbs and this jerk was trying to till me
"ETSY NO LONGER HAS THE OPTION, THE CUSTOMER HAS TO GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU TO ASK YOU HOW MUCH THE PACKAGE WILL COST"?????? THAT IS WHAT HE TOLD ME AND WHEN I SAID THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS, HE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!!!

Just in case anybody here wants to check it out - I use Pirateship for all my shipping needs. Yes, I have to manually copy the tracking numbers and insert them into my "sold items" page. And I didn't integrate PS into my shop back when I could, so I have to copy the shipping address and manually add it to the shipping label over on Pirateship. I don't care! They are easy to use and efficient and when I have a question or concern over there, THEY ANSWER ME HELPFULLY. Sorry Etsy, but they just work better.
Of course that won't help you set up your shipping settings, so I don't know if it'll address the difficulties you've been having. But it's so nice to have a reliable shipping option...
I too use Pirate Ship from time to time on other platforms when selling.
Right now this Function works on my phone just fine, it's just on my laptop that it is not working. I too love pirate ship!
