Today, I updated the ship by date on an order that was scheduled to ship today. My husband has been in the hospital with a serious infection and there was no way I could get the order out today. After updating the ship by date to next week, I saw the order was now marked LATE in big red letters! Apparently it didn't reset even though the customer received the attached email showing her that her order would now ship next week. So it contacted her, it just didn't reset the date.
And of course my 'On-time Shipping' rating has dropped 2 points now because of this.

Shipping extensions have to happen BEFORE the date they are due to be shipped. Something’s can’t be helped. Hope your husband is well soon.
