On this listing, I have my personalization box with the optional box unchecked which means that they should not be able to place their order unless they add copy in the box. So when the order came through the word "undefined" was in the personalization section. I cannot imagine the customer typed that word and there were no other notes or contact from the customer. I did send them a message and waiting to hear back, but this definitely seems like a glitch. Has this happened to anyone else?
Outdated versions of the app don't have the personalisation feature, so a buyer cannot see it to enter it; but it doesn't stop them buying, because the app doesn't see it exists.
While this may not be the case, also adding this for any future reference: Pattern websites do not show personalisation either, but again, doesn't prevent a buyer from placing an order.
I tried 5 or 6 of them and I couldn’t put them in my cart unless I put the information down.

Thank you! I had worded my item description to tell them to include personalization in the listing box or notes to seller box at checkout since I also have the Pattern site (this order wasn't from Pattern). It's entirely possible they didn't read the description since they didn't leave me a note at checkout.
Does the order also say this, "this order was placed on an Etsy platform where personalization is not supported. Please reach out to the buyer for their personalisation info."?
No it didn't, I did look for that as well as the Pattern order indicator just in case it was from there. This is the first time I have seen this happen.
