"Request Custom Order" button missing from shop's Home Page in Etsy Shopping Apps

Jump to solution

I'm in the final stages of completing my Etsy Shop and I'm doing testing reaching my shop via browser and the Etsy App on my iPhone and iPad.

I have enabled "Request Custom Order" and the button appears on my shop's homepage when viewing it with my browser but it's no where to be found when viewing via the Etsy App on either the iPhone or iPad.

Is this working as designed or am I not looking in the right place on the apps?

It never really showed that on the app in the past - but as long as you have the option enabled in your shop, and message that is sent buy a shopper will allow you to create a Custom Order from the messages * .

* The Custom setup now is barely functional, and I hate it .  I just create/copy a regular listing with a "CUSTOM" pic for the thumbnail, minimal SEO (skip the Attributes, sections, tags, etc) - usually have the description as "Private Listing for J.J. - details as per messages" - pay the darn 20 cents to list it, view on Etsy.com, copy/paste the listing URL and send it back to the customer.

I am having the same issue. A customer messaged me about a custom order before I enabled the button. After, I enabled the button I could create a custom order using our messages but only on my desktop.
