I tried contacting Etsy support on this before - never received a response or reply to my request for help - then received an email asking me to rate their service on their reply to my request!
ZERO seller support. I've learned to live with that, but what I do not want is for your technical issues to screw up with my Star Seller status.
Not that that makes any difference in sales, but it's all I got these days.
Please clear out those "notification" alerts. The messages have been answered and well within 24 hours, actually well within 12 hours!

Experiencing this as well, the only thing that seems to change this, is if/when the customer does respond back, to my initial reply
I have enough messages to see this happen over time, and those where I didn't hear back from the customer after my response, all still have the blue asterisk.
I had this happen the 1st time and my customer and I had gone back and forth a few times. Then I got 2 more messages yesterday, same thing. No matter how many times we reply back to each other it keeps showing as though I never replied. I'm just so fed-up with this site!
It seems like it's a glitch, just make sure to respond back within 24 hours and over time it seems to clear out
