postage labels not available with Canada Post

I am unable to print a postage label from Canada to USA this morning.  I contacted support and they said it may be a technical issue, to just wait a while and try again.  I have the Unable to purchase labels notice on my shipping screen.  Anyone else have this issue?  I am in Northern Ontario, Canada

I talked to an Etsy agent before looking at the Canada Post website. I'm a little frustrated at this point. I didn't receive any notifications that this was going to happen from Etsy or Canada Post... and it's a long time for their system to be down. Ugh.

I don't want to use Chit Chats either because of my previous experience during the Canada Post strike last year... what am I going to do???

I was just able to print off a shipping label by logging into my Canada Post account, slightly higher prices than Etsy, but it worked!

I just went and did that also and the price is 2xs higher than on Etsy for Washington State so I guess I will wait.  I already lost alot on this order as it sold thru an offsite add.  I can always extend the shipping date if needed.

I am able to print through Shippo. It is just Etsy that is the issue.

Same thing happening to me here in Montreal, none of my orders can be shipped with etsy today. I was able to print a label directly with Canada Post.

@RememberWhenByDawnCanada post labels for Etsy are currently down. I was unable to purchase a label on the Canada Post website when I first tried, but twice was a charm and the second time I went to Canada Post I did manage to get my label done. So yes, seems a technical problem related to Etsy. It could be related to the Canada Post price changes that go into effect today. It's possible Etsy has to upload a new data table or something.

@BuyfromGroovy many people have posted they had no issues with Canada Post, just Etsy, including the person right above you. 

I can buy CP labels on Shippo right now, too.

I am so glad this didn't happen last week when I got back from my holidays, with hundreds of orders to ship.

If they don't fix it by the end of the day, I will print thru CP website, not to lose the star seller.

Let me know if the CP website is working.  I couldn't get mine to work, and I print labels there quite often.  I think someone said they are down for maintenance since yesterday at 8pm.

I logged into Canada Post website this morning to purchase a shipping label for a parcel to go to U.S and the service will not be up and running again  until July 2nd,, so I ran my very small parcel to the post office and it cost me $7.00 more to get my shipping label there,,just so crazy the difference in price!! It seems that Canada post had not thought this one through for the small business that depend on them..:)

On Etsy the postage labels are greyed out on my orders and when I click on them it says unavailable to purchase right now., logged into Canada post account and it first said unavailable then I re-freshed the page and was able to enter all the details but when I get to the cart there is no PAY button....., maybe I need a SHIPPO acct...

Looks like it might be fixed. I was able to purchase a label on Etsy a couple minutes ago.
20 minutes ago I wasn't able to.

I was just able to purchase labels as well. Looks like the prices have definitely gone up. +$4 for my US tracked packet from what was charged

@cindylouwho2 that's not too bad. Mine are over 500g and we're originally $13 and change and we're now over $17.

@MyNeedleCrafts It's really unfortunate that Etsy couldn't be bothered to tell us the new prices. Canada Post told me what was changing on my personal account - why couldn't Etsy? 

I am sorry that some people are losing money on shipping.

over 100 grams has gone up over a dollar.  $9.82 now.

I thought I read somewhere US prices were going down and Canadian going up.

@UppNorthCo For tracked packet, my own prices and Shippo's prices both went down. 

Etsy had a really sweet deal on the US labels alone, and I guess it was only for a limited time. Maybe they were not maintaining the needed level of Canada Post label buyers. Who knows? 

It would have been nice if Etsy had warned us of the actual prices instead of just linking us to the CP announcement page which had nothing on what Etsy's label prices were going to be.
