postage labels not available with Canada Post

I am unable to print a postage label from Canada to USA this morning.  I contacted support and they said it may be a technical issue, to just wait a while and try again.  I have the Unable to purchase labels notice on my shipping screen.  Anyone else have this issue?  I am in Northern Ontario, Canada

@RememberWhenByDawn   Are you referring to the customs form?  If so, that does happen occasionally.  Try again in a little while.

I have a banner saying that Canada Post labels are not available for now. Hopefully that fixes soon cause I wanted to ship my things today...Well worst comes to w orst I will extend shipping dates by a couple of days and ship on Monday...Annoying haha...

I am in Québec and have the same issue. I know the postal workers union and Canada Post have been in negociations for a while but I can't find anything that the workers have gone on strike again. I'm also on Canada Post's mailing list and have not received any recent updates on the situation.

Customer service said it has nothing to do with the postal dispute but technical.  i was just not sure if it was everyone or what was happening.  I guess we wait for them to be back on line.

@RememberWhenByDawn I went for a walk with my dog and saw postal workers in my neighborhood, so definitely not on strike

Canada Post is changing their prices and the rate structure as of today and upgrading their systems, so could be related to that. I posted about the rate change a few days ago.

Perhaps the new rates aren't ready yet in the Etsy system?

The rates have skyrocketed! for a tracked packet to the USA it has gone up almost $5 per parcel? Is anyone else seeing this? that is a crazy hike!

@HeritageDecor yes, Etsy appears to have lost its special deal with Canada Post on US labels. The rate increase depends on the package, though. Tracked packet to the US under 100g only went up 59 cents.

I saw this and didn't think it would be ongoing....yikes! Long timelines for the transition, CanPost. Not ideal. Guess those of us in Canada will have to extend shipping timelines until July 3rd. Grr...CanPost is really not being helpful to Canadian sellers these days!

@CSKraft4Dolls @UppNorthEh @clotheslinesvintage that list does not say labels will not be available. It says label cancellation will not be available (because they are getting rid of it - you will only pay for Canada Post labels on your own account when the item gets scanned starting in July)

Labels are available everywhere else; it is just Etsy that screwed up. As I predicted several days ago LOL

I just checked and you can still buy labels on Canada Post's website directly and through 3rd party shippers that hand off to Canada Post, if the problem on Etsy isn't sorted soon.

Same here.  I live in Ontario and I'm trying to print a label from Canada to the USA through Etsy.  I keep getting this message, "cannot print shipping label at this time".  This has happened with both of my Etsy accounts today.  Someone please help.  I can't get anywhere through their help system, and I've been trying for over two hours.

We have this issue too - I have buyer messaging us saying our listings are showing as can't ship to Canada. So strange! Etsy please fix this Canada post integration. We also see the error on the orders site and our shipping policies are correct.

I wonder if this all has to do with tariffs.  Canada Post, USPS and Etsy are conforming to the extra charges.

I just tried both Etsy and Canada Post and cannot print a label through either. There's a notice on the Canada Post website so I'm copying and pasting it at the bottom. I just called my post office and they are able to generate labels. I however, have a question of which I think I should know the answer to but I don't. Is there anyway to print a packing slip or invoice without printing the shipping label through Etsy? I have orders to go to the US and I don't want to send them without paperwork.
