the past 2 days, the picture of the item the client is asking about is not showing up. they message me questions and I have no idea what design they are talking about... how do I get the convos to be back the way they always were with the item showing up so I can answer the brides questions?
I often get messages with no image attached. Unless the buyer messages you from the specific listing then you will not see an image if they message you through your storefront instead.
You will have to email the customer the images or request from the customer to email you the images.
I noticed this in messenger when discussing customs. When there is a long chat, between potential customer and the seller, you do require images to be sent back and forth. One of my customers initially sent images, but after a few days when discussing colour, suddenly the customer was blocked from sending images.
It is embarrassing and unprofessional having to ask the customer to go off Etsy to complete the information required to complete the sale on Etsy, but think this is being caused by their spam filters.
Not only that, those who deal with customs, may risk getting their messenger blocked for sending information to request the images to be sent elsewhere.
This should be looked at by Etsy as there are many sellers who deal with customs.
