I made a shipment today and went to fill in the tracking info to complete the order and Etsy auto populated the “ship-by” date to tomorrow, June 8 which happens to be a day later than my expected ship date. Because of this, my on-time shipping & tracking stat went down from 100% to 96% even though it was shipped on time. It also says I have 1 order missing tracking info on the dashboard, when this is false. If there’s anyway for this to be fixed, I’d greatly appreciate it.
@PlantPros: The ship by date sometimes changes to the next day, based on what time you are marking the order as complete. However it possible to change it back to 'today' as long as you do it before you finish the process. There is no way to change the ship by date after the fact, and it is very unlikely that Etsy will change it as undoubtedly their view will be that could have changed the date yourself.
As to the 'missing' tracking information, what happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the courier's tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly. If that works, has the package been scanned? Sometimes a tracking number cannot be validated until after the first scan is publicly available and the stats should update a day or two after the first scan.
If clicking on the link does not work, and if the shipping company is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. You have 72 hours to edit the latter two, shipped / completed date cannot be changed. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. An unsupported shipping company or invalid / unverified tracking number equals shipped without tracking.
The applicable CSV file on your Star Seller page will help you identify which order Etsy thinks does not have a (verifiable) tracking number.
