Trying to print out a packing slip. I am in Michigan and the piece is going to Washington, so no other country issues. I am seeing almost an entire page of question marks....
Ive tried everything I can think of... turned the printer and computer off and back on several times. Logged in and back out....checked my language settings on everything....Tried to do a live chat with etsy, unfortunately I didn't know how to take a screenshot and send as they requested. I have had my shop with etsy for over ten years, and this is a first!
not sure what I am to choose as a "label" for this chat....
Account settings? HELP!
@SerendipityGlassWrks Hi, I'm using a desktop computer, Chrome. And visited my Orders and Shipping page just now, so I could go thru the motions and see if anything's changed recently.
I clicked the 3 dots, selected "Packing Slip" > Customize Options (DE-Select the box for show prices). Then Print. The Packing Slip will now print without the prices. (I don't know if you're using the Seller App. If you are, try to switch to a browser; I've not used the App, but according to others, it is glitchy).
Hope this is helpful to you.
thank you.... I tried that and its still doing the same thing. someone said my customer may have their settings at a different language...but I assumed if that was the case the entire thing might be question marks..
@SerendipityGlassWrks I'm sorry that didn't work. Re: your Customer having their Settings on a different language, that could be a possibility. I see SmudgePlant and NanaLetha posted about this (I didn't think of it).
I had that happen before and I think it was due to the Buyer's language preference. Even if they are from Washington, they might prefer a different language.
I sent the packing list with the question marks and had no complaints.
Really!? thank you! I had no idea. I haven't even looked at the print out the label page yet...lol... I was so frustrated!
thank you!
@SerendipityGlassWrks are you getting the same thing on your receipt? If not, then the buyer has their language set for something other than English. They may have done that on purpose.
@SerendipityGlassWrks: "I am seeing almost an entire page of question marks...." As mentioned, this is almost always an issue that your computer does not have the font required to display the characters. Depending on what PDF reader you are using you may be able to see what fonts the document is using.
"... the piece is going to Washington ..." But that does not mean that is where the buyer is. We have quite a few foreign customers who use freight consolidators in the United States.
