Anyone have a suggestion?
I put my shop on vacation for about 5 days
When activating my shop upon return, about 500+ listing are gone... not expired....GONE!
Before vacation I had around 1200 listings. I re opened with 500. Something is wrong.
I have entered chat for help... lol told at first to relist them.... hmm no, plus at this time I don't know which are gone.
I was told they are escalating this last week.
This is now going on 2 weeks. Silence. Silence in Etsy Help Chat/ no longer responding to me.
I have searched forums for a solution... deactivate / reactivate. Did that, still missing.
** I vow never to put my shop on vacation again. I will lengthen me shipping.
@MellowMoonSupply "I called them" - do you mean you asked Etsy to call you? Etsy doesn't have a public phone number, and any number you find through Google etc. is a scammer. (One just got arrested in the past week or so, but there are still multiple scammers out there.)
It's entirely possible Etsy Support may never be able to fix this, since most escalations never get dealt with.
If you really want to fix this, try vacation mode again briefly, and give it an hour to repopulate.
Again, have you tried putting your shop back into vacation mode and back out? This has been a confirmed solution workaround for this glitch for years. I know you're scared you're going to lose more listings, but I honestly think that is your best option.
Until you're willing to try that, then I guess you would rather keep waiting for Etsy to respond. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes them up to 2 months to get back to you (and there's a very good chance this is exactly what they'll tell you to do).
Wait a day or 2, they most likely will come back again.
@NanaLetha, if I understand @MellowMoonSupply correctly, she turned off vacation mode a couple weeks ago - so if it was just a simple delay, they should have already reappeared. It shouldn't be so difficult to get help from Etsy in situations like this. Having almost half your listings unavailable can certainly hurt your sales/visibility, and I feel for the OP.
Yes, Vacation about the 27 of April, off vacation the first days in May... about the 2-3 day.
Going on 2 weeks and all I get is silence.
Did you also check the "inactive" folder? I think if Etsy deactivated them deliberately, they'd be there.
Yes, at first I was thinking they expired... but 500+ listing? That would be 100 listing a day expiring!
After I got my frantic head together I relished they were just gone, disappeared.
@MellowMoonSupply: "... about 500+ listing are gone ..." Just to clarify, are these listings just missing from your shop's home page or are they also missing if you look at all of the tabs on your Listings page?
@MellowMoonSupply - Going to your shop's main page under "All" I see 616 for total number of listings.
Adding up your sections comes to 632 listings.
If Chat isn't working & if you did a get a call-back from someone but nothing has been escalated, you may be down to opening a help ticket via email.
If you do this, you'll need to be even more patient. Reply to a generic response that your issue is not resolved. You can also use the email to send in requests for an update on your problem.
I had this happen before.
Put your shop back on vacation mode and take it off again.
For some reason some listings seem to get stuck when you take your shop off of vacation mode, and this seems to 'unstuck' them.
@audreytherese they apparently already tried that: "I have searched forums for a solution... deactivate / reactivate. Did that, still missing."
Sorry, I was imagining them selecting all listings and deactivating and reactivating, which would technically be different than putting back on vacation and taking it back off, which I didn't see them specifically say they tried.
I am afraid to...might end up with half again.
Actually, that's the only thing I've seen work to 'find' listings that are missing after putting a shop on vacation.
Of course I can't guarantee it, but it did work for me when I was missing a number of listings after coming back from 'vacation' (which I only put my shop on for 1 day because I was at an event and had forgotten to remove items I was selling in person). And I've seen it be the solution a number of other times when people were missing items after going on vacation.
I just did a search and there are numerous posts going back at least 2 years where it's an ongoing problem that listings are 'missing' after taking a shop out of vacation mode. Seems to be a fairly common glitch.
The solutions have always been to either select all shop listings and deactivate then reactivate (which sounds like what you already tried) or to put the shop back in vacation mode and back out.
@MellowMoonSupply It's well established that the only known cure for vacation mode lost listings is to go in and out of vacation mode again. (Etsy support usually tells people this, when they understand the problem)
My apologies; I thought you had already tried this remedy, as you said you searched the forums & had deactivated things. (Not everyone uses the correct terminology so I tend to err on the side of that possibility LOL @audreytherese )
I'm going to hang out and see if the OP tries this and if it works!
LOL> I am afraid to try it... might come back 1/2 of what I have left missing!
Just call me paranoid!
Here is my post from October with the same (or at least similar) issue: Solved: Not all listings showing - Welcome to the Etsy Community
Mine was resolved by putting my shop back into vacation mode and taking it back out again. It wasn't instant, but within about an hour I had all the listings that I did prior to putting my shop on vacation the first time.
I am at my last resort... I am going to try this...putting shop on vacation and back off.
It's Memorial Day weekend maybe not a lot of sales....?
I can't seem to get much response from "E", all my chats go silent.
Wish me luck!
Good luck!
I promise it worked for me when I had the same issue, I'm hoping it works for you too!
UPDATE.
I called them, escalated.
Did you ever try putting it back into vacation mode and taking it back out again?
@MellowMoonSupply "I called them" - do you mean you asked Etsy to call you? Etsy doesn't have a public phone number, and any number you find through Google etc. is a scammer. (One just got arrested in the past week or so, but there are still multiple scammers out there.)

Yes... sorry... had them call me. Called back with in a minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Almost 3 weeks....listings still missing.
