I’ve been struggling with the payment process. Earlier this year, I opened an ETSY store based in Hong Kong and set up a Bank of China (Hong Kong) account to receive payments. The setup seemed correct—I even uploaded my bank statement, and ETSY approved the account (though I never received their small test deposit, which now feels like a red flag).
ETSY then attempted two separate transfers to my account. I contacted my bank multiple times, but they consistently confirmed the funds hadn’t arrived. Later, ETSY emailed me stating the transfers failed. I reached out to ETSY support, and they assured me BOCHK accounts are supported.
To resolve this, I opened a new HSBC Hong Kong account and linked it to ETSY. However, after 7 days, the payment still hasn’t arrived.
Could anyone kindly advise? Why am I not receiving these transfers? ETSY insists the money was sent (they provided a Reference ID), yet my bank shows nothing. After over 4 months without a single successful payout, I’m deeply worried and frustrated every day.
Update: Myrielle from Etsy's Finance Department contacted me the same day. She informed me they were handling the case and reassured me to patiently await their investigation. I also provided as much bank account information as possible. Remarkably, I received the remittance in about a week, and my second payment arrived today as well. A sincere thank you to Etsy's Myrielle—our communication was exceptionally pleasant and efficient. My advice to others facing similar issues: promptly contact Etsy's Finance Department for assistance."
