how to contact etsy about a wrongly deactivated item
Hi there, an item was deactivated because I used the word "amber" to describe the coloring. It is not made of amber. Now, I am not easily able to find a way to contact ETSY admin for assistance. The button that used to be there for chat ( star seller had this for a while) is gone, and when I try to go to help or contact us...the circle goes round and round. Does anyone know how to contact ETSY for sellers so I can ask for this to be re activated? Or should I just do a new listing with the item and leave off the word amber? thanks for any help, Catherine

Make a new listing and don't use "amber"

Seller should not until she gets an okay from Etsy.

The contact link opens for me. If you are using the app..don't. Or try another browser. I know I can't get some things to work via Chrome for ex.

The same thing happened to me! So annoying. I changed the word amber to golden brown. Can't use the word amber to describe a color on here, that is a HUGE no-no. Sorry this happened to you too.

When was it deactivated? You may not need to do anything at all. I had a bracelet deactivated a while ago and two days later, it was back up. As soon as they see it isn´t really amber, they will reactivate it.

I hope so and thanks so much! I also sent them email, once I was able to locate it...so I am hoping they repost for me!

Re: how to contact etsy about a wrongly deactivated item
Submit a request – Etsy Help
See if this works.
Edit the listing and then ask Etsy if they will release the listing now for it to be relisted.
I wouldn't advise simply creating a new listing without an okay from Etsy. While it may seem to be okay, the deactivated by Etsy is still a ding rightly or not. Any further infractions might just get this one added to the mix.

Re: how to contact etsy about a wrongly deactivated item
I had a beaded pendant/necklace deactivated due to using the word amber for the color of beads. I didn't contact Etsy; after a few days (maybe 6 or 7) it was activated again. Then I went into edit and changed the color description to golden brown.

Re: how to contact etsy about a wrongly deactivated item
The whole thing is beyond ludicrous, because in Etsy's Fall Trends Report, in the Vintage category, they mention AMBER GLASS as a hot item for this fall.
A clear case of one department not knowing what the other department is doing.
