A frustrated customer just wrote me that she is unable to checkout.
she can put an item in the cart, but when she tries to checkout,
she gets an error code 429 which says "too many requests"
then her only option is to cancel.
she's trying to purchase from my shop and another shop and the problem exists in both shops.
any advice would be appreciated
Maybe she'll have better luck using the 'buy it now' option?
thanks, she's really frustrated, she's shopped etsy before so not a newbie
it should just work, ya know?
@2TrickPony The 429 problem could be due to her internet provider having a current problem, the device she's using, or something else that's not Etsy related.
Some credit cards have unannounced security concerns if she is trying to buy over a certain dollar amount or from two different countries. Have her purchase each item separately.
Perhaps she has items in her cart from more than the maximum number of shops (10?) allowed in one checkout?
I would suggest she check her cart and remove items she no longer wants or move them to SAVE FOR LATER.
alternatively she can purchase each item separately using the BUY NOW link.
i know people get tired of hearing this solution but...
she needs to clear her cache.
The problem is on her end , I can check out with no problem
You have many payment options in your shop , she can use another one .
