Hi,
Can anyone help? I am trying to set up a custom email address on my pattern site, purchased from Etsy, but keep getting the following message. "Sorry, there was an error setting up your custom email address. Please try again later."
I have sent endless requests for help to "Etsy support" to no avail. Any advise/help will be gratefully received.

@XtrandMoreArtisan: Based on the anecdotal evidence in this forum, Pattern has been essentially abandoned by Etsy.
"I have sent endless requests for help to "Etsy support" to no avail." Every eMail from Etsy support should have a link something like "I Still Need Help". Click on that link in each reply from Etsy (or actually reply stating that you still need help) to keep the report alive otherwise Etsy will assume that it is resolved. You may have to do this innumerable times, before anything is done but do not give up. DO NOT open a new issue or contact Etsy multiple times about the same issue (doing so closes the one you already opened and puts the new one on the bottom of the pile).
this is the info article

and relevant info on that page.
This feature allows you to create a professional email address for your brand using the domain name you registered on Pattern. This means you can choose the name displayed before the @ symbol in the email address, like hello@yourdomainname.com.
Note: In order to use Mailchimp from your Pattern site, we strongly recommend having a custom email address. If you don't, your emails to buyers may bounce or go to spam.
Pattern offers custom email addresses that forward to an existing email account that you own. When you receive messages sent to your custom email address, you'll reply and manage these messages from your existing email account.
Messages will arrive in your email inbox folder just like all other emails you receive at this address. We do not create a separate inbox for you to manage, and these emails are not forwarded to the messages feature on Etsy.
If you’d like more control over your professional email address, you can create a custom email by updating the MX record in your DNS settings. You'll see this option in the Domain section of your Pattern Dashboard. This Help article provides steps on how to manage records for your domain.
This feature is only available to sellers who have registered a domain through Pattern. If you registered for a domain on a third-party site and connected it to Pattern, you’ll need to go through your domain provider to set up a custom email address.
If you have not registered a domain on Pattern and you're using the yourshopname.patternbyetsy.com domain, you will not be able to create a custom email address. You can always set this up in the future if you choose to register for a domain through Pattern.
From the Marketing tab of your Pattern dashboard, click Create an @domain.com email alias.
Enter the custom email address you’d like to use. For example: info@yourdomain.com or yourfirstname@yourdomain.com. If you set up email campaigns from Mailchimp, this is the email address people will see in the from line.
Enter the email address that you’d like this email address to forward to. This must be an email account that you own and have access to.
You can edit this address at any time from your Pattern dashboard. If you do change your custom email address, emails sent to the previous custom address will no longer forward to your account. They will also bounce back to the sender as undeliverable.
Note: Emails sent to your custom email address will successfully forward to the preferred email account that you own. However, any emails you reply to will be sent from the original email account instead of your custom email address.
I connected my pattern site to a domain that I already own and already have a custom email. are you able to connect pattern to an email you already have? I purchased a domain from pattern to get access to custom email but do not get the option to click anything to create a custom domain. I'm guessing it's because I don't have the secondary domain connected as the verified web address?
