• I have been trying to get my LLC verified on here for months. I have a multi-member LLC with one other member who is my partner. Everytime I try to update my taxpayer ID information I get this message saying "The name and Tax ID provided does not match the IRS records. Please ensure you enter the correct name associated with your Tax ID provided". 
• My LLC was created in March and my EIN was issued in March as well so enough time has passed for it to be updated in the IRS database. I have been back and forth multiple times with support and they have obviously been of no help. 
• There have been multiple times where im able to submit my taxpayer information and then I get a message saying that my business information couldn't be verified and to then upload my business documents to get verified by a member from etsys support team. Multiple times I get emails back saying that congratulations, your business information has been verified and that im all set to sell on etsy now. Then, whenever I go to my etsy account, it says that my account is frozen due to unverified taxpayer information and im back to square one.
• Has anyone gone through this same cycle and if so what is the solution to the fix? Some things to note and im not sure if these matter but,
• - I am the primary shop owner so my Personal information is on the Etsy account but my partner was the one who is the responsible party when applying for the EIN so his name is on the SS-4 IRS form for the EIN. Also, the physical business address is different than the mailing address which the EIN form has the business mailing address, not the physical address of the business which is the address im inputting on Etsy.

Only 1 person can own a Etsy shop, as the shop was initially set up with your details, everything has to match your information.

Etsy does not deal well with LLCs.  Others have reported dropping the LLC and just being a person and everything is good to go.

@BnCGames: Etsy is not very good at providing properly informative messages so it is always hard to know exactly what they want, but remember that in your case there are essentially at least three separate 'verifications' involved - the account owner, the business, and the banking information. For automated verifications Etsy, or more likely whichever third party vendor(s) they use, want everything to match exactly. Furthermore you may have had Part A verified and Part B verified but since A does not match B they system does not know what to do so and considers it a verification failure.

These forums are full of similar reports of 'edge' cases like yours not going through the process smoothly. You may need to contact Etsy to get someone to look at your case, or hopefully one of the Etsy moderators will see this thread and forward you on to a specialist team.
