You have been Blocked

Good morning. I hope that you are well. 

I have been trying to access etsy from both my phone and laptop this morning and is its saying on both, you have been blocked. Something about click speed being too fast etc... Is anyone else experiencing issues?

THE FIX:

Run a scan on your computer

Clear cookies & Cache

Restart device 

All fixed, you may have to solve a puzzle to prove you are not a robot

I think just wait and Etsy will sort it out. They must be aware there is a big problem.

Had this happen to me this morning. An awful start to a Monday - but it seems to be fixed. Terrifying to lose control of my site like that with no way to communicate directly with Etsy. I thought I was alone with this, so good to see it was a general glitch.

I had the same issue an hour ago, I found some useful advices here, to clear history of your browser. Wait some time and hope you will be able log in again.

I received a call from a friend, saying her shop was gone,  blocked.

I then wanted to access my dashboard, and found I first had to shove a puzzle piece from left to right, -which didn't work on a lap top.

I then tried the audio version and entered the number and was verified!

@HappyEventInvites  When I was clearing my cache it showed 1.0 GB, that is highly unusual since I clear every day. I've never had it so high before. But all seems to be well and I'm signed in.

Same here, unable to assess two of my shops on any browser. Clearly they are playing with the site again, but relieved to know it's not just me having an issue.

Hey,

I had the same issue! On March 3, 2025, around noon (Poland time), I suddenly got blocked, just like other sellers. Etsy showed a message about suspicious behavior, clicking too fast, etc. I tried accessing my account from different devices, but nothing worked.

I see a lot of stress and frustration among other sellers as well. We’d really appreciate some info from Etsy about what caused this.

I followed the advice from other users—cleared cookies and cache, restarted my computer—and luckily, I was able to get back in.

Really hoping Etsy sorts this out soon because it seems like a lot of people were affected!

All I did was send a message stating I didn't know what the problem was. Restarted and scanned my computer. Still was blocked. 10 minutes later I was back on. No puzzle.

After almost having a meltdown this morning, I remembered to check this "Is Etsy Down" site:

I think it may have been a larger issue, as all of my Outlook email disappeared over night. I thought I had been hacked.
Within a short time, everything came back, Etsy and Outlook.
Let's just say my home was not peaceful for a good 30 minutes or so this morning.

I have been locked out of my shop.  Apparently I pressed keys too quickly and Etsy thinks I’m a robot??? Is this something new? I’ve had to go in through a different browser.

Same thing happened to me this morning around 5am CST. It resolved itself without doing anything after about 45 minuets of panicking!
