My last 3 or 4 listings that I have posted show "You can browse, but we're unable to process purchases at the moment. Try again in a bit." When I go to "Preview" the listing before I post it. It shows up in a box off to the right side of the listing where the "add to cart" button usually is, anyone else having this issue? Now when I do a search of these active listings they don't come up in search.

I just tried and it looks like I could have bought something but didn’t take it that far. Hopefully it’s fixed now.

Not fixed. I got the same thing all day today and just a little while ago. It seems to be a system-wide issue along with other problems that customers have had in trying to check out.

It was only showing up on the listings that I previewed before posting so not sure if that makes a difference. When I search for the listings that I posted they don't come up in search so don't know if that makes a difference? Thanks for trying though, I appreciate knowing that the rest of the listings are working properly.

I have that same issue. It is still doing the same thing this morning. My sister told me she has this issue as well.

I have a similar issue, my customers can't check out. They get this error message.

I have this issue too and called an Etsy representative, sending a screen shot. She told me she hadn't seen this before but believed it is a new feature that appears only in preview. I don't see it once the item is published. I have no idea what will happen if someone tries to purchase the item.

I just had a sale of one of the listings that had the notice during the preview mode. So people can still buy the item since the notice obviously isn't showing up once the item is published.

My listings are showing up when I search, and I've had no problems with customers purchasing other items. No one to my knowledge has tried to buy the recent items in which this message has appeared. It's still showing up for me today when I preview.

Hi, I had this yesterday when I listed some new items. I presumed it meant that no-one could buy it because I was still working on it and hadn't properly listed it yet. If that makes sense?
Not sure what happens if someone tries to buy anything as sales are a bit slow right now. Hopefully it's ok but I've seen some sellers have had real issues with this.

But a buyer can't see it if it isn't published yet right? I'll post if and when someone buys one of the recent items I've listed that showed this notice.

@PosieAndMarmalades @Same thing for me when I preview a new listing that’s not publishedyet. I put the listings in drafts and publish later with no problem.

A shopper messaged me last night to say she couldn't complete checkout and I saw 2 or 3 threads in the forums with sellers having the same issue. I did get an order this morning.

Payment processing seemed to take longer than usual too. It's unusual for me to catch an order in my queue that still says 'payment processing' and I had 2 yesterday.

I’ve had an issue with every new item I’ve listed for over a week. They don’t show up in search when I look for them the next day. It’s like Etsy is not indexing them.
The work around I’ve been having to do is reactive the item for a while and then a bit after reactivating they finally show up. It’s getting old having to do this though….

I had that exact message for about 2 days, only when I was listing a new item. I was worried that potential buyers would also see this and not be able to purchase. But, this evening I did have a sale. Have not listed anything new since my sale, so do not know if I still have the 'you can only browse message'

What does this mean and why is it there? I have been seeing this for the past month and this original post was in January.

It's still showing up when I preview a listing. It doesn't seem to be affecting anything once I publish my listing. I have reported it twice now. It might make more of a difference if everyone reports it rather than just a few.
