Account put on HOLD no Info no Email from Etsy

Hi Guys Need Help my account was put on hold 4 days ago by etsy and i see this message on my dashboard

"Your shop has been put on pause until we verify your info

It looks like we need more details from you to verify your seller info, so your shop is in temporary Vacation Mode and you can't receive new orders right now. To sell on Etsy again, upload a legal document for us to review—this helps us keep our community safe. You can check your email for detailed info on what kind of document you'll need to submit. "

Problem is i never got any email from etsy regarding what info they require from me i have also open support request from etsy but its been 3 days and no reply from them too. i have no idea why my account is put on hold my name and bank account matches i have 3000+ sales on my account. i really hope someone can guide me how to contact etsy.

@Loosewarp I'm truly sorry to hear about the problem you're facing. You're not alone in this situation. Many individuals have encountered the same issue. Regrettably, Etsy hasn't been sending notifications or responding to inquiries. Efforts to uncover the reasons have been futile. All accounts have accurate and verified information. Same. Our shop still on forced vacation mode for 1 week now. Still no notifications or any insight from Etsy even after several calls and emails.

You can try this link below. It is level 1 customer service and all they can do is "escalate the case to specialists" which didn't help at all for us..

Sorry to hear this. We are currently in the same situation, and I've seen multiple others here in the forum.  I know this doesn't help either of us now while we lose sales, but hopefully Etsy figures out where their bug is.

While the person was super nice, I was quite irritated. I explained the situation, and he told me there was nothing he could do, but he would forward it to the right department, but I could not talk to anyone on the phone. He said they could only be reached via email. I did tell them I expected a refund for the monthly fee because they shut my store down for no reason. I have not heard back from anyone but noticed our store was live again today.

I also looked through my account to make sure cc info, contact info, banking info and anything that was mentioned, but everything was correct. I did not make any changes to my account, so I still have no clue why I was being punished.

I do know that for the last year or so we were only adding most of our new products to Etsy and not all the other platforms. We didn't even have everything on our website (yeah, I know, kind of stupid on our part). That is not the case any longer. After this stunt, bug, or whatever, Etsy has lost a lot of my trust as a seller. They should never be putting this many random sellers in to a forced "vacation mode". Some of them being left there for 10 days or more. Etsy is a pain in the butt to try to reach someone. That should NEVER be the case because we are their bread and butter. Even worse, as of this moment, they never reached out to me via email to provide an explanation or apology.

@NewtsGames I'm genuinely pleased for you. Regrettably, I can't request a call from my country. However, I've heard numerous stories where people called multiple times, but their shops remained closed. Perhaps your persistence and your mention of wanting a refund had an impact In any case, it's heartening news that your shop has been reopened, and it instills hope in us. Best of luck with your sales, no matter the circumstances!

I'm so sorry to hear you are unable to call.  This is horrible, what Etsy is doing to the livelihood of so many shops.  While I consider it a privilege to sell on Etsy, I do feel this glitch needs to be resolved ASAP.

Etsy has been putting my store on vacation mode on the same day and time for 4 weeks.
It opens the next day. And it doesn't give any explanation.
I'm asking why. No answer.
Just "we checked and your store is open, sorry about that".
No matter what I say, they are always sad. What's their problem?
They want me to close my store?
My store is doing full sale. They close instantly.
What's their problem?
Anyone know about this?
My efforts are wasted because of their nonsense.

same happened to my shop they kept putting it on hold every other week and hold was getting off after couple days without me providing anything to them but now its been three week and still on hold with ZERO Info about what to do.

It really seems Etsy has a glitch or something.  Not that it helps us make money to pay the bills, but it just does not make sense.  We have been put on forced vacation mode now for the 2nd time, and they again failed to contact us or tell us why.

I have been on Etsy since 2008 and it is my understanding that all shops need to be verified under something called the "inform" act. Since Etsy is a US company they must comply with US laws.   I did receive an email from Etsy about this, and that even tho I  have all information there already,  at some point they will ask that I verify  by adding a government issued ID. This can be a driver's license, a state issued ID (if you are in the US) or a passport. The place to verify is on your dashboard under finances>legal and tax info. When you get there,  there is button to upload your documents.  This is probably what Etsy wants from you.

at this time except my home deed lol every possible ID i could have given them i have given. i checked all my account name bank account etc they all match and are plaid verified. Worst thing for me is i have never got any email from them stating what is wrong and what i need to fix it. i have called their CS and they got ZERO idea they keep giving me new tickets and tell me to just wait. its just so sad that we spend so much time and effort to build our shops and without any reason/warning etsy is closing our business...
