You Tube Tutorials by Etsy

I am hearing impaired. I need closed captioning in order to learn from the Etsy Tutorials.

@Madebyvintagepotter Wow, I'm really surprised they don't have the caption option enabled. I wonder if whoever uploads them realizes that they need to enable that!

If you hover over the video, or just simply put it in theater mode, you should see the "cc" mode at the bottom of the video.

Hello @Madebyvintagepotter  and thank you for the suggestion! If you’re referring to our YouTube videos, closed captions are available by clicking the CC option on the bottom-right side of the video player.

By clicking the cog icon, you can also select the appropriate subtitle track for you (screenshot for reference). I hope this helps, and if you have any questions or additional feedback, feel free to share it!

I am on my Ipad and have no problem with captioning of other You Tube videos EXCEPT for yours.  There is no closed captioning option.

I'm looking at all of the recent "Made by" type vids on Etsy's YouTube channel.  They all have closed captioning.  I don't believe that there's an option for the creator to disable closed captioning, it's an option for every video on YouTube.

@Madebyvintagepotter  can you give us an example of a Etsy video which does not have the CC option? We'll check it for you.

Perhaps the specific video you are looking at is not uploaded by Etsy?

The video with no cc is the you tube video about "How to Upload a Video" that was recently sent by email.
