Why do I have to sign into Google to leave feedback for the new Messenger category?

This just popped up a new Messenger category with the message  We're trying out some changes in Messages for Admin. 

Check out whats different, and tell us if you have feedback or spot a bug.

When I click on whats different or feedback, it takes me to a Google sign in page...

Why do I have to sign in through Google?

Well this Messenger Tinkering probably explains why people have not be able to sign in to their own shop...

I need my old messages, it has important information in them for orders.  They better not make us delete them....

I still have 'messages' on dashboard menu, also under 'your account ' tab. I'll be livid if they do away with messages as is.

This is annoying and I'm no longer getting notified of customer messages on my phone!  

I'm also not able to leave feedback! Stop messing with stuff ETSY!!!!!

I had 43 messages this morning, I found that if you click on each one, the number disappears, and it doesn't delete your old messages, if you want to save them.  I just hope I didn't click on any new messages and didn't see it.

This "test" is useless! I can only see my last 15 messages. I think someone hit the launch button wayyyyyyy too soon on this. It's unusable garbage. I hope it reverts back pronto.

Business owners/Etsy sellers:  Come into shop in the morning with lots of orders to prepare, errands to run, people to pay.  Etsy:  Puts something on your dashboard that has no explanation, the link to explain it doesn't work and you have to figure out how to tell if you have a new message.  SMH messages have worked for at least the five years I've been here, I'm betting longer than that, why can't they leave well enough alone?  Maybe they need orders to ship out so they don't have time to tinker.

when i click the "leave feedback" button, i am taken to a google docs page that says:

OMG this is terrible. I just had 35 in orange circle for messenger, only one was a message I hadn't opened & delt with... and it wasn't showing on messages, just messenger along with 34 false alarms - needless to say I had to waste my time opening them all to double check. Now I can't mark the one new message us unread.

Went through the Google sign in to beg the firm to reconsider putting this on us all, then I get "You need permission. This form can only be viewed by users in the owner's organization".

 These are schoolboy errors, are there no system testers working for Etsy?

I'm pretty annoyed about this as I had a message days ago and it wasn't showing up so I didn't reply.  Today it pops up.  As it happens it wasn't anything mega important, just a query but it looks like I couldn't be bothered to reply for days.  Not happy.

So Etsy announces they are removing *pain points* in the star seller program and turn around and create even more *pain points* with this Messenger testing. UGH! Please take a break Etsy, you are breaking too many things here and driving sellers nuts even more than usual. 

Editing to add, I'm leaving feedback here since as others have noted, the feedback link that Etsy has provided has denied access and cannot be used.

I just spoke with someone on the Etsy help chat button. They said we can't see the whats new feature (in google docs) or the leave feedback feature because this was not supposed to be sent out to Etsy sellers, only people who work at Etsy

@TheMonogrammedPrep  going back I do see this in the Messenger area "We're trying out some changes in Messages for Admin" which would seem to agree that this should have only been released for Etsy Admins.

Wondering the same thing. This newest feature is only on my PC. Doesn't show up on my laptop, iPad or cell phone. Not sure who in Etsyland thought this was a great idea! 

edited to add: Just reading a post above. Sounds as if this was only to be released to Etsy admins. Another big oops from Etsy.
