I needed 2-3 more messages in which I replied to in 24 hours and I received those messages on 10/30 and 10/31. These were not included in the calculation for messages response rate and I did not receive the star seller even though I was supposed to. I know it's on a delay, but it's Nov 3 and the messages are now showing up in the csv download but I did not receive the badge! So frustrating.
And I don't understand how this program was implemented without the ability to make changes?

Hello there,
Please note that Messages sent on the last two days of the 3-month review period may be excluded from the current review period and counted towards the next period instead. This is to allow Sellers a full 24 hours to respond and not be penalized for messages received late on the final day of the review period.

Thank you very much!

Re: Why didn't 10/30 and 10/31 messages not count toward my message response rate??
It happens every month. They cut off the calculations before the end of the month.

Re: Why didn't 10/30 and 10/31 messages not count toward my message response rate??
The last day or two of the month always mess with people, and it's the same with orders.
Here is my theory.
My understanding is they go by the last 'ship by' date. So if you receive an order on the 30th that needs to ship by the 4th (meaning it has 3-5 days in processing), but you ship it out in 1 day, on the 31st, it's not going to count because Etsy is looking at the 4th to see if it shipped in time. It doesn't check if it was shipped out early. I'm assuming it's a similar thing for messages. Meaning, if you receive a message on the 31st that needs a response by the 1st, then Etsy is going to check the metrics on the 1st, for the next month's metrics. It doesn't matter if you respond within minutes, they only check if it was responded to by the end of the 24 hours (and yes, 24 hours and 10 seconds is considered past the 24 hours). As far as messages on the 30th that needed a response by the 31st, well that may just come down to time zones and when Etsy has its cutoff for the program.
