Why are the personalisation instructions now hidden?!

I’ve just noticed that the customer now has to click on “Add your personalisation” to even see the instructions of how to personalise their item. This is on Safari, not sure if it’s the same on the app.

Why has Etsy decided to hide this? Some buyers might not know to click on the tiny arrow and they might just give up!

My sales have been slow today, I hope this is not the reason as the change has only been made today.

I don’t know why Etsy does things like this.

I noticed that and find it quite annoying, as i have it set as compulsory on some of my listings, so can't see the point of it being hidden.

Real estate on a web page is very valuable, especially on a cell phone. This is a way to show what information is more important. If you require this to be filled out you will see a little RED * that means required and the page will not allow your customer to continue without filling in the required information. 

Most websites including my own do this now. This should not deter Byers as it has become the norm for advanced web stores.
