I use calculated shipping from USA. I have everything in my shipping profile filled out, including origin zip code, processing times, etc. From what I understand, the Estimated Delivery Date is automatically calculated by Etsy.
On the Help guide, it even says "Listings with calculated shipping and a processing time will already have an estimated delivery date."
I've had several cases quality for Purchase Protection for Item Not Received cases, but the one international case did not qualify despite using the same shipping profile.
Is there a workaround for this that I'm not aware of?
@CappucinoLace Thanks for taking a look and letting me know!
Looks like I may have to turn off calculated shipping and switch to fixed cost shipping in order to manually add a delivery time
There's not a lot you can do, @MidSparkGems . Some countries don't have tracking that connects to Etsy. I've been successful going directly to the country's postal site - like Canada Post, or Royal Mail - and enter the customs number to see the tracking, once its within borders.
@PillowDetails Thank you for the quick reply. My issue isn't with tracking though. There's something wrong with the shipping settings. By default, none of my international orders will qualify for Purchase protection.
@MidSparkGems: We had an international package not qualify for Purchase Protection because the system failed to pick up the processing time for the listing (even though it was there). Chat admitted that the listing was correct and it was an error. You might want to check the applicable CSV file.
@BagmakerSupply That's similar to what happened to me. I spoke with Etsy chat, spoke with Etsy phone support, and submitted an email case dispute. They could all see that everything was properly filled out in the shipping settings, but for some reason, the order didn't display an Estimated Delivery Date due to being an international order.
It means that through no fault of our own, USA to international orders won't qualify for Purchase Protection.
I don't want to stop selling internationally, but with the holiday rush, I don't think I have the bandwidth to keep up with more cases like this.
Etsy doesn't provide estimated delivery dates for first class international/global postal.
I, as a UK customer only see "dispatches in 2-10 days" on your listings and in cart.
Unless I chose priority, and then it gives me an estimated delivery date.
