I end up losing all the information I type up for a listing while working on it to publish. A little spinning gear-like object comes on the screen and a unhappy face saying it has failed. This is so disheartening and I wonder why each section completed can't be saved as we work. I got so stressed out today and just signed out. HELP!
It sounds like your server may be timing out with Etsy. I'm not sure how much needs to be filled in to save as draft.
If you are using Firefox or safari or the app, move to Edge or Chrome and try there.
Try another time if you are located where ISP service may be spotty.
As far as saving, Etsy in all the years has never given us the option. It's not high on their list.
It should be high on their list!
Thank you for your reply.
@BythesoundcreationUS: Timeouts can be caused by issues anywhere in the chain - from your device, any switches or routers you have, (your wireless connection if applicable), your modem, your ISP connection, etc all the way to Etsy's servers. Etsy uses distributed servers, so If it continues for any length of time it is best to check from your end, particularly if it is not a widespread issue.
Have you run a connection speed test yet?
Try speedtest.net
I am not experiencing this but I was having computer issues of randomly shutting down, I now do my listing in phases where I fill in all the compulsory areas and then save to draft. Then I go back in and fill out description and tags. Saves me losing all my effort.
