What happened to the Categories when listing? They aren't showing the corrected items

Trying to list men's boots and when I type "men's boots" in the category selection it doesn't even show anything close to that. I don't even get an option for shoes or something generic that's close. Never had an issue with this before.

Re: What happened to the Categories when listing? They aren't showing the corrected items

Hi, I went to the Home Page to see where the Cats and Sub Cats Map for your items. This is clicking onto "Categories" (with the little bars, Left of the Search Bar). This is what I get from the menus:  Shoes > Men's Shoes > Boots.

But it sounds like the problem you're having is with the New Listing Form, and it not giving you the correct option. If you don't type in "Men's Boots", do you see something for "Shoes"?

yeah when i type in the category section "men's boots" to set the category when listing an item, it doesn't give me any option for men's anything, let alone shoes or anything close to boots. Anything men's category as an option has disappeared.

@TrunkSupply  Are you by chance using the Seller App? (vs. a browser). I'm just trying to think of something to help.

I added some listings yesterday and I also found issues with the categories.

@ChillwolfArt No, I'm using a browser on my desktop computer.

Re: What happened to the Categories when listing? They aren't showing the corrected items

@TrunkSupply  I've been checking recent past Threads for you. In this one, see the post by DaysofYoreTreasures. In regards to typing the forward arrow (>) after the first Category. It's crazy that Sellers are looking for workarounds at this point. But you can't sell what you can't list. Hope this helps in some way.

Re: What happened to the Categories when listing? They aren't showing the corrected items

This is one of the TOP issues I have had with this stupid "upgrade" as well as them charging me for two listings when I copy a listing!  Of course this happened over a holiday weekend and is now buried under 1000 other issues with the "new" listing page.  UGH!  A mess for sure!

Re: What happened to the Categories when listing? They aren't showing the corrected items

@ChillwolfArt  I had to go on to the Seller App to change it. It looks like the seller mobile app is displaying the categories properly. Not sure what's up, never had an issue listing before on desktop and I was using the new listing format for months now. It just started having issues out of  nowhere. Anyway! Thank you for helping! Really appreciate it.

Re: What happened to the Categories when listing? They aren't showing the corrected items

There is definitely some category changing shenanigans happening since the new listing form became permanent, thus making items show as "not available for sale"!  It's going to take me awhile to go through all my listings to ensure their categories have not been messed with ... I have already found 3 so far ... definitely explains why they were not selling ... nobody could buy them!!  Check your listings folks!!!

Re: What happened to the Categories when listing? They aren't showing the corrected items

there are definitely fewer options to choose from in the new listing form categories.

AND you can't search through the categories like you could with the old listing form.

it's a joke for sure.

do you have another listing that uses the same category? It's likely best to copy that listing to make adjustments in other areas as yet another workaround to get what we need out of this new listing format.
