What about shipping profiles for custom digital?

How do we create a shipping profile for a custom digital item?  Presumably that's no longer possible.  Will we be forced to use their ridiculous suggestion of a digital download thank you message/placeholder file (if that's what it's called).  Does anyone use that method?

I was told by chat when SS came in to use 'other' and 'digital' when completing a custom digital order and so far that allowed me to keep my SS badge...

Custom order through messages can only create a physical listing.

As above, use the Made to Order digital, by selecting Made to Order as the date, digital as the type. Once they order, you upload the files to the order.

No shipping profiles, no processing times.

Ah yes, thanks for reminding me.  I forgot about that announcement.  It was another not quite thought through option from Etsy.

I have two lots of variations for my items.  I sell family trees, for example, so there are many different price points according to how many names are being included.

and then a second variation to choose the dimensions of the jpeg (around 6 options)

This option doesn't allow any variations unfortunately.
