Considering all the scams on Etsy which involve external links is it really a good idea when Etsy allegedly asks you log into the above when you are already logged into your shop as that's how a scammer would obtain your login details? Why is it not possible to register when one is already logged into ones shop and validated?

It's why I backed out, didn't want to complete the registration process, though I do know it was legit.

My thoughts exactly! On top of everything, there was also a request from some other app on the next page to connect to my account. And see all my account information. Year, right. No.
