Hi , Please help as Etsy support haven't.
I am 8 or 9 days into opening my shop but have had so much trouble and stress trying to verify my bank for Etsy payments.
I have missed out on 4 sales as I have no way to accept the payment. The chat bot doesn't even reply to help now.
I have sent so many emails for help but the generic messages do not help.
I keep getting sent links for the bot to open other card accounts but when I click to leave Etsy I get a red screen saying dangerous site.
I have tried 2 of my Scottish bank account but keep being told it can't be used. When I paid the £12 set up fee there was no information to say that my bank isn't compatible with Etsy payments.
One card want a £300 deposit and the other wants me to pay £30 set up fee. This isn't an option for me.
I have a successful Facebook selling page and have my business PayPal account and had no issues.
Any help would be so appreciated as I don't know how to fix this.
Kind regards

I added an item to my cart and all payment methods are available. Sounds like you are getting scam messages.
@SeaTreasureScottish: It sounds like you have been the victim of multiple scam attempts. Your shop appears to be open with payments available.
The "$300 deposit" and other such requests are definitely scams.
Were the Messages in the "From Etsy" section on your Messages page when checking messages using a browser? If not, they are a SCAM.
If you provided any personal or financial information contact your financial institution immediately. If you provided any log in information you need to change those passwords.

Be sure to mark the message(s) as SPAM so that it does not affect your stats (at last report you cannot do that using the seller app only a browser, even your mobile browser, or the buyer app).
I agree with @NanaLetha that you are getting scam messages. Any message that is legitimately from Etsy will be in the folder titled "from Etsy" and if it isn't there, it is a scam!
When you submit a help request with Etsy, do not send others. It keeps sending you to the end of the line (so to speak). Wait until you receive a response and then any response you send back should contain the ticket number or anything else they have given you for reference.
Most likely those are scam messages.
If you verified your bank with the small deposit Etsy enters back with your first sale, then you bank is verified.
Scammers target new shops. Just mark them as spam.
True sales will show up in your shop as a number in the sales area and the item moved to sold.
Okay as to the other, when you send an email using Contact us, Etsy sends a generic reply. You take that email and reply back that you still need help.
If you gave any of these messages anything such as credit card or bank info, contact your bank and CC company. It;s easy to get a new card these days.
Slow down a bit and take a deep breath. Etsy is not something you can learn about in a short time. It takes time.
Thank you so much for being kind and helpful. I am away to mark all the scam messages just now.
Your shop is new and unfinished, so you are a target for all kinds of scams.
Please read the forums - there are endless posts about these scams.
When you receive a new Etsy message, check where it appears. All legit Etsy messages go to your "From Etsy" folder. Be super cautious about messages in your Inbox. Don't click any links. Don't scan QR codes. Don't give any information for "verification". Same thing about emails.
Be sure to finish your shop so it looks professional. Add location and all necessary policies.
Good luck!
Thank you so much for all your kind help. I will see what else I need to finish as I have no idea
If you go to the messages section.
If the message isn't in the "From Etsy" folder, as well as the inbox, it's not from etsy, if it says it is, it is a SCAM
and, scammers send messages saying they are trying to buy, and it failed, and then try to get finance information off you - this is also a SCAM
....
also, every message says underneath
To stay protected, stay on Etsy. Never follow links to other sites, and don’t share contact, account, or financial info with anyone in Messages. Learn how to spot spam.
the £300 is 100% scam, etsy does NOT ask you to deposit anything, and does not ask for your card
Etsy give you a small deposit, less than £1, to verify your bank account
