Re: Variations problem

@FearKnotVintage   I went through the same grief over the photos part a couple of days ago.  It is all there.  I started over a few times before I discovered the problem.  Carefully watch every little box as you work your way through variations set up.  The photo box has to be Xed and it's not easy to spot unless you're very careful.  Good luck!

Re: Variations problem

It won't allow me to list each variation with a photo.

When I add one photo, it deletes the photo from the other variation

Re: Variations problem

@FearKnotVintage I think you can only have one variation with photos linked. Makes sense because there's only space for one photo on an order with a variation. You can also only have one variation with prices attached. It seems you can have quantities on both variations which is an improvement (can't believe I just said that).

Re: Variations problem

Can you please list step by step how to list variations from beg. To end?I have cookie molds all listed under one description

Then I list all the variations incl the photo. Price, quantity for each

That's what I can't do with this format unless someone can tell me how

Re: Variations problem

@AnniebelloPaper   I listed an item in variations with the choice of purchasing one with the price, and below that, purchasing two with a different price.  I linked both photos. If someone clicks on the second variation, the second photo shows up on the left.  It does work, but it's a pain to find when you're first trying to set it up!

Re: Variations problem

@JustMeToo can you tell us/me how you did that?

I have my flower ball kits with photos for the first variation - type of paper. When I go to link photos for the second variation - extra centres, I get "Right now photos are linked to choose your kit. These photos will be unlinked, and you’ll need to add new photos to Extra flower centres?"

Re: Variations problem

@AnniebelloPaper   I just went and did one so I'd remember.  I added both photos in the regular spots at the top, and description and everything.  I went to Add Variations.  Create your own - where I wrote Buy one or save on two!  Just below that, I moved the X for photos.  Where it says "enter an option" I wrote One seat belt pad, and enter an option - Two seat belt pads.  Right below that is select photo.  I clicked on it and chose the first photo and then repeated it for the second photo.  Then in the three boxes you can choose, I chose the first two.  I then scrolled down and added the prices in the price boxes and quantities.  Publish.  I hope this helps.  Of course, your information will be different but it should work the same way.

Re: Variations problem

thank you for your detailed info. & your time

I have a set of dishes that I want to list as itemized, e.g. set of 4 cups, set of 6 plates, etc. all as variations u der this one listing.

drop menu would show items with prices & photos. that's the way I did in the old form

I tried again today and it doesnt seem to work for me

I cant imagine doing separate listings for every component of this dish set

Re: Variations problem

@FearKnotVintage   If that doesn't work, perhaps have two listings, with a cross promotion sentence.  One with the cups - mentioning that the matching plates are available on another listing, and the second listing for the plates, same idea.  I have done that sometimes.  Have the listings side by side in your shop.

Re: Variations problem

If you would please take a look at my listing for "Vintage Brown Bag Cookie Art Molds"

This was done under the old form. I would like to do it this way on the new form, but it won't allolw me. I guess I would have to list each mold separately with its own listing but with the same basic description, adding the details for the specific mold.
