As an FYI for people who sell items with many variations, there is currently a glitch where variations are often not copying when duplicating listings, meaning only the lowest-cost variant is actually showing up as the current price. This is an absolute nightmare given the listing fees and the time it takes to add the variations (for ours, about 10 minutes per listing versus 0 minutes when it copies correctly). If you are in a similar situation, ensure that your variations copy over BEFORE publishing! I've never had this before last night, but it's already a massive pain.

I thought I was losing my mind! I just tried copying a listing 3 times now, added different images, hit publish, the variations disappear! I've wasted publishing 3 listings now, all had to be deactivated. Video doesn't copy over either.
Edited to add: I just got off chat with Etsy. It seems this is a known technical issue and is being looked into. I asked how will I know when this is fixed as the only way to see that the listing doesn't copy properly is to publish it, which results in being charged a listing fee each time. The response was "we will share an update as soon as there is a resolution or needful update on this. We will keep you informed via email." I also asked if this is a sitewide problem or just affecting certain sellers, they didn't seem to know.
Im having same issue..so annoying
My best recommendation for semi-success is to actually open the item being duplicated rather than go in from the listings page directly to "duplicate." It isn't 100%, but it has a better chance of copying from the outset!
Thanks. I just tried it the way you suggested. Unfortunately it went ahead and published without the variations again. The odd thing is I got the red banner at the top of the page after hitting publish that stated something went wrong, yet it still published it anyhow, minus the variations.
I’m having the same problem.
I was renewing a listing and was updating quantities but the variations/choices did not appear. I tried changing quantities and even added a dummy addition….nothing. Then I decided to deactivate the listing…and then reactivate it. It worked! The blessing is that it doesn’t cost a dime to do this. Hope this helps! It worked for me anyway! Good luck!
I ran into some similar problems when editing variations yesterday- I had to reload the page and re-enter the changes to the variations 6 or 7 times before I could get the changes to stick. Very annoying.
Ok it's not just me. I wasn't even able to save a listing as a draft. Once I deleted the variations I was able to do so. Ugh....
I received a follow up email from Etsy yesterday regarding this issue. In a nutshell it stated they're aware of the problem but have no timeline for when it will be fixed. I fear this may be another one of those Etsy glitches that just gets thrown onto the problem pile and never resolved. Oh well, looks like I'll focus on adding my new stuff to just my own website as individually typing in 76 different colors between 2 variations isn't going to cut it for me.
In addition, I wonder whose idea it was several years ago to eliminate the option of copying and pasting our variation choices separated by commas but instead require us to individually type in each one. A perfect example of fixing what isn't broken and in the process creating a problem.
It seems Etsy have been making code changes to the existing listing form as well as the new listing form that is described here.
If you are on the new listing form please use the revert to old form link at the top of the page, then use the popup to leave your feedback.
If you are on the existing listing from, I hope this link will allow you to send email feedback to Etsy.

Great thanks for the heads up - I'm just using the old form now. Any changes to variations on existing listing resulted in all the prices dropping out.
Has anyone found a workaround for this? I have several listings I would like to add but typing in 76 different colors between both variations isn't feasible.
Deactivate your listing, then activate. It worked for me.
i am having the same problem. Its really annoying that i have to create new variation with 338 variation color and size for every each listing is not possible.. Is there anyone who could help us?
Hallo
Bumping this again as this issue exists still in Oct! Someone from Etsy send this to the Tech team on a priority please.
I just had this happen last night, or a variation of it. I have always made a copy of a listing if it is similar but last night when I did that, the original listing disappeared, it was if the new listing over rode it. In fact it was showing that the brand new listing already had 3 sales (which is the one I had copied)
So not only had I NOT saved the time, I had to make up the original one again from scratch! gah
Wow, I was going to add some new listings but I guess I'll skip it. I definitely don't want my original listings to be deleted and I'm not going to manually type over 40 different colors into both variations.
I think I have the same problem. I increased the prices in all offers, with one option.
Where there were many variants to choose from, all options were lost. I was in shock.
I've been adding colors and sizes manually for a week, but not all of them are saved, and not all combinations are visible from
the client's side. I'm going crazy. Sales decreased.
And for a week, Etsy's only help has been tips on how to update my browser and clear my history! Massacre!
I ran into the same thing….my fix was to deactivate the listing and then reactivate it. Bam…all was well. Doesn’t cost anything to deactivate/reactivate. Good luck!
This is STILL an issue. So incredibly frustrating.
