I recently updated the information in the "Legal & Tax Information" section after changing my Seller Type to "Business". The red warning message has now changed to a green message that says:
"Good news: We've verified your taxpayer information!"
There are no additional warnings or notes on the screen, and there is no information or documentation requested in the email. So I assume the verification process is complete.
I also see that a 1099-K form has been generated for 2025, which further confirms that my information has been accepted.
However, my store is still in holiday mode and I would like to know if there is anything else I need to do to reactivate it or if Etsy will automatically remove holiday mode. I can access my listings and messages, but the items are not available to customers. What else can I do, please advise.
Hey there! It sounds like you’re on the right track with the verification—congrats on that!
Thank you so much for your kind and helpful reply!
I tried refreshing the page, logging out and back in, and checking my dashboard again. But unfortunately the vacation mode toggle is still inactive for me.
It seems that Etsy placed my shop into vacation mode automatically after I changed my seller type from “Individual” to “Business” and updated some tax information.
I’ve received the green confirmation message in my Shop Manager stating that my taxpayer information has been verified. I also submitted a ZIP archive containing all my official business documents to Etsy Support.
So far, I haven’t received a specific response regarding the documents. I understand it might take some time, but if any other sellers have experienced a similar situation, I’d really love to hear how long it took for Etsy to respond and whether you had to do anything additional.
Thanks again.
It can take 24 to 48 hours sometimes.
If it doesn't after 48 hours, contact Etsy again.
A single change to the address bar seems to have fixed the problem. When I changed it, it was instantly fixed. However, if there was an error in the address or other information, I would have expected a warning saying that verification could not be done. The documents I sent from the help desk were not reviewed because they were accepted as email attachments. Fortunately, it was eventually resolved and I was able to take the store out of vacation mode.
