I am unable to update my banking information as requested by Etsy through Plaid. Everytime I try to enter my account info it won't accept it even though I am entering the correct information. Anyone else having this issue?

Re: Updating banking information
Exact same issues for me. Etsy has been my selling home since 2005. I don't want to leave.

Re: Updating banking information
Never mind "does anyone else have this problem", we need a fix. This is by far the most annoying glitch I have encountered with ETSY thus far.
"Try again in a few days"??? Oh sure, I have all the time in the world to keep trying. My savings account I have been using for years doesn't match up with PLAID. "Try another account"? I am not opening another account anywhere just to be part of PLAID.

Re: Updating banking information
This is my third shop with Etsy and my 13th year as a seller. I have never had a problem with receiving payments.
I'm having a horrible time with this switch over.
I've come across a solution to manually give Plaid access with two small deposits. A how the heck do you do this would be nice!! Anyone have this info??

Re: Updating banking information
Yes I have the same problem and my account still suspended even I connect PLAID,,Your shop will remain suspended and you won’t be able to receive any new orders or funds from your sales. If you’d like to try connecting your account again and reopening your shop, reach out to Etsy Support." no response from Support

Re: Updating banking information
I am really suspicious about having to give my information to this new third party (Plaid). I think that this is a data mining scheme that Etsy has FORCED us into. They have no right to keep our money if we don't hand over our account information. I am reporting this to my state attorney general, and to the FTC ( Federal Trade Comission). Hope some of you will join me, as I think Etsy engages in more than a few predatory practices. In the meantime, I am watching my accounts for fraud, and selling off my merchandise. I am tired of being nickled and dimed out of all profit by Etsy.

Re: Updating banking information
I attempted to update my bank info as well, then I was asked for my username and password!
Who does that??? Who in their right mind would give a stranger/s access to their bank account in such a manner?
Then were are told that we will not receive our own, hard-working cash if we don't comply. That reads like a threat. Very, very strange!
I rocked with Etsy through all its turbulences over the past nine-plus years but this! Ummm no!

Re: Updating banking information
I will not be signing in with my bank's password for PLAID to be able to access everything. Are you kidding me? Please do Manual for PLAID (that is if you can get PLAID to connect with your account!).

I had over $500 in my payment account in Etsy and when I attempted to verify my bank account the amount turned to 0. Anyone else with the same problem?

"available to deposit" would have gone to zero
but it should still be there in "current balance"

Re: Updating banking information
I am wondering if all banks accept Plaid. I went to the Plaid site and entered my bank, Truist, and it did not come up as a bank they use. Could this be the reason why many of our account #s are not being accepted??????

Re: Updating banking information
My bank didn't come up either. I typed it in. Then Plaid said it "couldn't connect to my institution." I did it manually. When I called the bank to see if Plaid made the small deposits yet (they didn't) the bank lady had never heard of Plaid. Etsy says we shouldn't worry because Plaid has 6,000 businesses. That is not a lot! That is nothing! I don't feel confident at all that my information is safe and my money is protected.

Re: Updating banking information
for truist, I have seen this info
Ok...this for those having issues with Truist, formerly Suntrust customers. I used the old Suntrust routing number and I added 3 zeroes preceding the Suntrust account number....it worked.

Re: Updating banking information
Yep, same here. Haven't made any changes/updates to my bank account since I opened my Etsy shop in 2011. Hoping it's just a glitch and will try again in a few days. I reached out to Etsy support, just in case though.

Re: Updating banking information
Hey folks! I was having the same problems as a lot of people with my acct. coming up as "not the acct. # we have on file" so I couldn't verify. Leaving a call back number is a waste, but I found that e-mailing worked. Start at "Need help selling", then go to "Can't verify my acct". Scroll down to "Still need help". You get a choice of " Leave a call back number" or "send e-mail". Send them an e-mail. I started this morning (Sat) about 9 or 10 o'clock and got an immediate initial response. That started the ball rolling, and by this afternoon Obed had cleared my acct. number so I was able to go in and set it back up, just as if I was simply changing to a new checking acct. The set up process was with Plaid, so that killed two birds with one stone. Just be sure and choose MANUAL setup, and the process is the same as when you set up your payment plan way back when, before they came up with all this stress inducing Plaid B.S.

Re: Updating banking information
I don't know if this will help anyone but when I did the manual option I entered the long account number that my bank gave me that has several zeros in front of it, and a few numbers after the account number part that indicates whether it's savings or checking.
I never use the account number in this regard otherwise, when I do day to day banking I only use the short number that's actually the account number. But on the directions my bank gave me long ago there's a routing number and a longer account number.
Hope that works for some.

Re: Updating banking information
Did you enter the routing number and then the long account number?
