Unable to generate a USPS scan form today

Anyone else? The option was not even there to choose after I purchased postage, only options to print labels or packing slips, or to request a pickup. I tried to do it another way and the scan sheet button was greyed out and if I tried to click it, said "cannot create USPS scan sheet".

I generally buy postage on Sundays for orders going out on Monday, and I've never had this problem before. I guess it may be a USPS issue, but I wanted to see if anyone else was seeing the same.

Few time I had enough to warrant one was only done on the day I shipped, so no help.

Same. This has been the last few days. I find I can print them in the morning they ship, but not the night before like I was doing. I have no idea why it changed.

Lately I have been having the same issue. Sundays are hit or miss. I have been selling on Etsy for a long time now, so this is nothing new and an ongoing issue that I have had (although less frequent until now). This past week I am having problems with my scan form as well. Even if I ship out tomorrow, I was able to print out the scan form the day before. Now it seems that I have to print it the day that I am shipping which makes it really inconvenient for me since I go the post office very early in the morning. Whether or not the post office is open or closed, scan forms should be available to print.

Same, it's annoying.  Just going my orders tonight on Thanksgiving to ship tomorrow morning, but I won't be able to print the scan form until tomorrow, rather than right now when I'm doing the orders.  It's an on and off issue here.

Doesn't printing the label activate the Your item has shipped message..even when it hasn't? Maybe they changed it to end run sellers printing labels days before they actually shipped..but as you don't have to have a scan sheet to ship it ( unless you have a crabby postal clerk) that's a bit toothless?

For PirateShip labels, the shipping notification is sent as soon as the label is purchased.
For Etsy labels, the buyer isn't notified until the date on the label.
I've just discovered that Shipstation allows you to set when the notification goes out. So I have it set to notify Etsy at 9:00 am on the shipping label date. (I'm thrilled to be able to print labels for the next day again without having customers notified too soon.)

oh its just Etsy making things better for us!  I still can print scan forms for pickup.

I've had this issue as well. Some days it works, some days you click on "Create USPS SCAN Form" and nothing happens. Same behavior in Chrome and Firefox. Seems to be an Etsy issue.

I am having the same problem. Etsy support gave me different things to try like clearing the cache, etc. but it is happening in two different shops on two different browsers. And then, as stated already, it works the next morning. Pain in the....

I am SOOOO frustrated by this. I have used chat or email to communicate with several Etsy employees. They all say you can't print a scan form until the mailing date. I keep telling them they are wrong, that it has worked the day before for almost ten years that I know of! They don't use the site but they don't believe me. It makes absolutely no sense to prepare items for shipping but not be able to have it all ready for next day pickup. If only they used the site then perhaps they would understand our problems better. I can't always print the next morning and hate putting out multiple packages that need to be individually scanned, making my mail carrier's life harder. Etsy! Help us! FIX IT, PLEASE!!!

I also have been able to print the night before pick up since I started in 2016. I also had been able to do the same thing on the USPS website for my non Etsy orders, maybe THAT is why Etsy won't let us print it anymore? If USPS is the one who made the change to their software then the software Etsy uses to generate the sheet won't work, so there's nothing Etsy can do about it.

That's interesting but I find it hard to believe that the USPS would on purpose make it so we can't print scan forms ahead of time since we do it to make their lives easier. And the other weird thing is that typically I now have to wait until morning to print a scan form but sometimes it will magically work the night before, hours after I finish packing orders.

It's Etsy not USPS. This is not a problem with other third party apps such as Shippo
